I have a Hemi Hydro kit that could be available.

Different kit from Revell, different hull shape.

I never did a Deora, so here’s a Deora!

Not sure if this particular issue is the best - I would suspect not given those hamburger-meat tires, but it WAS the cheapest one listed on eBay that particular day…I paid $12 and change.

I really only wanted a Slant 6 engine for a project I’m lining up, but I HATE splitting perfectly good kits if they’re something I’d actually want to build…so I may still end up buying some Deora parts to achieve what I was trying to achieve…

I had posted some photos elsewhere in this forum regarding a Hot Rod Magazine article in 2000, and particularly liked a Hot Wheels car that was coming out called "Bizarro".

I included a bunch of photos of Bizarro from other sources, and ordered one in 1:64th scale to use as a reference for a build.

As far as I can tell, the car maybe started life out as a '57 Cadillac Eldorado (?). I have obtained one of the Atlantis kits and will see how it goes...

Post-Christmas arrivals:

Seen one or two nice builds of the Charger on here, would be difficult to make it look any worse than the box art....

Caprice is one I've been after for a while - do love a land yacht, and I'm sure the trailer will come in handy someday.

Airfix rebox of the MPC kit, surely the perfect companion build to that Charger? It's been brush-painted a rather bright green but is otherwise pretty much unstarted.

These should all suit larger Japanese cars pretty well, or perhaps even something American with a pro-touring slant?

I remember buying one when they first came out. After looking at the multipart body I put it away. I'll be interested in seeing what you do with this.

Nigel, I think that version of the '63 Impala was "born without a firewall". Hopefully you can scrounge one up from a more common '64 when build time comes.

Thanks for the advice Steve, I'll watch out for that. I don't have any immediate plans for it, apart from maybe pilfering some of the extra parts for other builds. It was fairly cheap (by UK standards) with minimal shipping cost when purchased with the Caprice and Shelby Charger.

Well getting rid of most of my 1/25 kits to make some space hasn't worked. First up is a pile of kits i traded my johans and some others for. Very very happy to get the dauphines as they are hard to find over here and go for strong money when they do pop up.DSC07924.thumb.JPG.92b415c5ced205e253c0212e4945dfab.JPGDSC07925.thumb.JPG.47bfe36366712f8a0054bf80b5c03ae8.JPGDSC07926.thumb.JPG.f288108daef64a33e9db6ab1da34f95a.JPGDSC07927.thumb.JPG.4e99f85041db7998c248b89fb4d8fdd9.JPGDSC07917.thumb.JPG.22e5561da48697a6ec5cf225f0bea4ce.JPGDSC07918.thumb.JPG.bec6a9f9e9ad6f531fce1f247f5c167c.JPGDSC07919.thumb.JPG.fc6be441f25b6b8cfdaa49d84cad7c02.JPGDSC07920.thumb.JPG.5e780dcd43d2027a7d485c54c26f5e24.JPGDSC07921.thumb.JPG.121df69508c57cdf675119f5a2178148.JPGDSC07922.thumb.JPG.c1b13a49b17dbaeb7110da55d82c34a6.JPGDSC07923.thumb.JPG.2b03552565c5e22bdae683e4f979152d.JPG

missing from the pic is another e tron and a very very good deal i found for 5 bottles of printer resin that has to have been a mistake by amazon as i only paid the cost for one bottle, and theres also a 100 strainers for the resin, 2 gallons of 99.9 alcohol and a lot of print files. so much for making room for the printer, lol

The latest issue of MCM showed up today along with one of those 2 car garage scenes (birthday present) and a box from IPMS with a Ford Escort race car and a bunch of Tru-Color paint.  Quite the day for me.

Nigel, when you build that Caprice, please foil the whole A-pillar. The pic on the boxes is incorrect, the pillars on all full size GM cars in the mid '80s had a stainless steel trim peice that completely covered them.

I'm kinda anal about those as the '76 I owned was one of my favorite cars that I owned. Looked almost identical to the one in the pic below except with different wheels and colour matched velour interior. Best "drive in" car ever ?
