I picked this sealed kit up off Kijiiji for $50.🙂 Now I just have to get up the nerve to build it.🥵

I bought one of those a while back, too. I bought one of the 911 Turbos, as well. They are such beautiful kits that enjoyment can be had, just looking at the parts on the trees! I would probably build the 356, first. Mine's exactly the same boxing as yours.

One that @Ace-Garageguy will appreciate:

rover-V8.jpg

SE Finecast 1/24 Rover V8. I haven't opened the bags yet, but it from the transmission, it looks like it's the "Morgan Plus 8" incarnation rather than the MGB version of the kit. Though I can see that it has fans and radiators for either, the air cleaner is definitely the one at the top.... which is good because it's the same set-up as a Rover SD1, which is also a possible destination for this lump. There are over 50 parts in the kit, all beautifully detailed and cast (it's the same folks who made the RR Silver Ghost I did a couple of years back). It'll be fun building (and wiring) this iconic engine, and then figuring out what to put around it...

best,

M.

My bride and I stopped in at HL this afternoon to purchase some puzzles for her and they were marked 40% off along with the model kits.  While there I picked up a can of spray paint that will be used for the 1960 Buick HT that is being restored.  And SHE picked out the 1934 Ford PU kit…said it was “cute”.  😂😄

Well, I am now up to my 22nd scale model since starting my review in November of Hot Rod Magazine Online :)

This purchase started out with an article in HRM November 2004 of the '64 Dodge Charger concept:

@keyser was kind enough to let me know that I could base this build on an old Jo-Han model:

And a little searching on this forum showed two who have built this very same model:

And the WIP:

Ran by Hobby Lobby yesterday to look at their paint selection…didn’t find what I was looking for but a few bits and pieces followed me home…

Those little thin sanding sticks helped with a particular task I was trying to accomplish, and I figured after testing my Tamiya paint stand for 15+ years I’m FAIRLY confident they’re good quality and invested in another:

Funny thing…the new one feels really light by comparison 🤪😂

I used a pair of long nose pliers on my stand and most of the old stuff fell off.

I found the Revell 71 Olds 442 kit at Burbank's House of Hobbies on Tuesday.  I looked in the bargain bin and there was a built JoHan 70 442 in a bag with another car for $5.00.  Sold.
