The '63 Falcon 'vert arrived safe and sound yesterday, so since I was on a roll, I went after another red U.S. compact car:

Very clean '74 Hornet promo that was met with indifference by everyone else (no other bidders or watchers) so grabbed it cheeep. Always liked these swoopy little jobs.

I had a real one, a 76 with the 304 V8. Really loved that car.

Some of you may recall that a couple weeks ago I said after I build my Agoura Shelby Cobra I would be done building . That was true at the time . But I got a call from my nephew a bit over a week ago asking me if I recall his dad ( my BIL ) and my sister each building a model many years ago ?  I did and mentioned I recall his dad building the Beer Wagon but not the other . The mention of the Beer Wagon sparked his memory that my sister built the Paddy Wagon .  Then he posed a question . If I was willing and could find those two kits would I build them . How could I say no ? My sister passed away about 7 years ago and my BIL just a few weeks ago . My nephew said this was important to him . Finding the kits was easy . Found both on eBay still sealed . Paid about 130 for both with shipping . Nephew would like them built as they did back then . No painting the bodies and only bottle paints for the details . I was given a little leeway to use some spray paints if I thought it was needed . So I will put my Cobra aside and work on these . The Paddy Wagon was the first and only model my sister ever built .  So I guess I lied . I will still be building at least for a bit .

Awesome that you found them and will continue on with building...

Oddly enough, I just opened a paddy wagon this morning.

That’s a great story and even better reason to build.

Placed an order for the 68 GTO & MCM #219 on Friday with Wes at Wes's Model Car Corner, figuring it would ship out this week. Sunday evening I see on his FB page that they got the 65 GTO and 92 Chevy Silverado in and were available to order. Placed my order and messaged Wes seeing if they could combine orders and he said NO PROBLEM! This afternoon around 1:30 UPS dropped off my order! Unbelievable service and just another reason why Wes is my online ordering choice- his prices and service are the best I have found.

Still going to be here looking at all the great models I just don't have the building Mojo any more. Out of space and not wanting my wife and daughter to be stuck with any more stuff than I already have. ?

Hard to imagine that you will really stop modelling, Ray - maybe you just need a break.
