Holy Mackerel! What a haul!

I´ve discovered a new series of airbrush spray in a lot of colors. Paints are acrylic based. Very fast drying, silky mat surface. First tests are satisfied.

Just arrived today.  Nicely done.  Tires have good tread detail but are No-Names (have to get creative here).  You can see the engine insert in the pictures. Glass, tires, chrome and decals separately packed in plastic.  Nice decal sheet with options.

As far as more detailing, the last picture shows some options I have in my stash to enhance this.

This and the 60 and 63 Fords are definitely on my list of gotta buys. Someone does need to ask them what 'Constriction Clean Up' means. LOL

Finally scored a couple of grails. Dean Jeffries' Mantaray. Resin repop of an old slot-car body, with correct resin wheels and tires to build a curbside. Some dimensional and proportion errors, kinda rough casting, but plenty close to start from. I'm happy.

And a 1/24 resin Morris Minor, a limited edition curbside kit from the Motor Museum in Miniature, in England.

Also snagged a couple of F2/F3 cars from a period I'm particularly interested in.

A Hasegawa 1/24 VW pickup followed them home, too.  :D

What a great haul of kits!

Posted

After the last Model show/swap a couple weeks ago, I told my son on the way home "I'm not buying any more kits until Modelpalooza( one of the better model swap shows held every October in Kissimmee, FL) not looking forward to boxing up 600+ kits for the move to the coast." Stopped by Ollie's this morning and that went out the window.

Something of a theme to my purchases from a couple of sellers this week:

IMG_5497.JPG.e75782931c603d9ad227d5729b3066ba.JPG

The "Tools 2" set contained some resin/3D printed chassis stands and the photo-etch toolbox, which itself retails at something like £13 online. Thinking that I'll assemble a pair of the garage bases for photographing/displaying larger cars then keep the antique one as more of a hobby scene for smaller vehicles. Already got some other tools which I need to get on with.

The Mitsubishi is an odd thing, certainly not 1/25!

Did some trading with Sam I Am here on the forum and now have another '62 Ford Convert. Think this will be my next project once I get my 2 current builds done.

Haven't opened it yet, but I assume it's a variation of the 4dr they released a few years ago.  Different body style.

Now I feel stupid....... I had a 'wanted' post a couple weeks ago looking for this kit, then decided to just get what I wanted off eBay.  This is what I got for the cheapest price, shipping in a bag, at least it arrived faster than predicted. ?  Lucky no parts got crushed.  I also didn't know what this kit contained, the box art looks like a street version, I know there are a bunch of race versions.  So it has slicks, and no back seat, so this will change my plans (of mice and men).

Just scored another one of my "holy grails" on eBay. The 116 Revell Jeep CJ7 with Suzuki RM. the RM will replace the 1/16 TM Suzuki in my Off-Road Chevy kit. The RM was a vastly superior bike anyway Hopefully, all the parts are there.

Picked one of these up at ole Ollie’s. Got it open, and guess I got a lemon. Enough flash to mold a full kit, one side of the van the mold around the door is basically non existent. Tires, rims, and decals are great so worth $12.99 typical 80 year old outdated mold from the good folks who ThRiVe for the details ?
