It's just the GTB with decals for the rear side window louvers and, IIRC, the targa top piece. Not hard to cut the top out if you want a GTS but I don't know what someone would do about the window louvers.
A modeler named mike Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 (edited) Decided to make a stop at our local Michael's and I was disappointed as usual. 10 kits on the shelf with a sign that read SALE $15.00 each. My bet is they'll stop selling model kits like everyone else did around here..? I already have what was on the shelf and none were worthwhile. The day wasn't a total wash since my mailman saved the day by delivering this kit I bought from ebay.. Edited July 1, 2024 by A modeler named mike 4
Keef Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 (edited) I jumped on the “Jo-Ann Fabrics” clearance bandwagon and made a stop today and stocked up. For $2.97 a can you can’t beat it. Edited July 1, 2024 by Keef 5

JollySipper Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Nismo............. A kit that I would love to have would be the Tamiya NSX.... My most favorite Honda/Acura ever. That or the E31 BMW kit......... 1

If you don't mind other scales, Rosso made a superb 1/43 kit of this awesome car. 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Got a coupla these, sealed, at prices too good to pass up considering the stupid money some folks are asking now. Bought another one of these too, with a PE set. Again, too cheap to let go, and I LOVE these kits. 5

Very evocative of its era. A million years ago I crosskitted one with a Monogram Drag Strip Hot Rod ‘32. Think it’s still in a box somewhere. I had one (the Indy car) in my stash but let it go as I didn’t think I could do it justice. steve

I had one (the Indy car) in my stash but let it go as I didn’t think I could do it justice. steve Over the years, I've seen a few guys do truly stellar builds of the old Monogram Kurtis, and it's the car I remember seeing still racing at Indy when I first became aware. Kurtis cars (and the similar Watson and Kuzma cars) dominated their classes for a long time, and I've wanted to build several of the "big cars" from this Monogram roadster and the smaller short-track "sprint" cars (using the 1/20-or-so Monogram "midget" as a starting point). I've amassed a fair pile of upgrade parts, like the old Chris Etzel Offy engines, and various flavors of Halibrand wheels and better tires with correct offset treads, etc. and books. Still a lot of research to go, but these cars are some of my real top-line priorities once I get settled out West in a few more months. Edited July 2, 2024 by Ace-Garageguy 2
OldNYJim Posted July 3, 2024 Posted July 3, 2024 Amazon occasionally has products where you can get free Prime delivery even though they’re shipping from another country…some good deals it seems like, if you don’t mind a few weeks for shipping…$18 for this, shipped to my door… 3

I don't remember what I paid for it but I know the shipping was not cheap as I got mine from Hobby Link Japan in a large box with many other kits. Thanks for the heads-up on the Amazon possibilities. 2

Then I got a partial beige one that was different that it had an electric motor in it and a different grill, engine and exhaust. But the wheel and brace were the same. So I painted them to match. I think the Ideal race car was molded in yellow.
