I traded an AMT ‘21 Bronco for this today.

Then I went to a flea market and picked this up for $5. It had a complete built Gran Torino in the box with it, so I figured I couldn’t go wrong?? Unfortunately, the glass for the Barracuda is missing along with the #17 tail light center piece.?

Best trade ever!

Got an early birthday gift from my wife and kids. Have been wanting to build this ship for 20 years, my dad have been diving on it way back and the found an armory, even though there is almost nothing left of the ship. It sank close to where my Norwegian part of the family lives. And it was also positioned in Narvik during the war, which is where my family have a cottage. So allot of connection to the monster of a ship! Will ad some minor changes such as replacing the typical svastica with the Iron cross and I might buy a deck, but I won’t ad any PE since this version already comes with PE and 1180+ pieces!

I got a roll of 1/8" dead-soft aluminum wire. I think it's going to be just the ticket, to make the curved bases for my injector stacks. I think Bruce Larson's Chevelle was the only car to run them, because they didn't work all that great. Still, it's a unique feature that looks cool, that I have always wanted to use. Engine setback requires it, on my Badman project, so...

It's a slow rainy Labor Day so I'm going through some things I've gotten in the last couple months. A while back I asked if anyone had ordered from Scale Hobbyist. Many months ago I asked them to let me know if they got this kit back in stock and they notified me. Here it is, a Mitubishi Starion, one of my favorite cars from Cannonball Run 2. Sure wish someone did a 1/24th Subaru GL hatchback, too! The Scale Hobbyist order got here in less than about a week, well packaged in a box not a bag, and in perfect condition. I have no hesitation about ordering from them again.

Next up is a pair from Lionheart Hobbies, a Bronco Dune Buggy kit, and a Subaru Sambar van.

I also have a couple of Walmart or Hobby Lobby kits. The Celica and a 1980 Bronco. I built that Bronco as a kid and I'll be trying to build it again with hopefully a little more skil this time.

Finally, a bit of a mystery. I came across this Firebird shell and have no idea where I got it. It's missing the chrome, glass and everything else. I put it in the tub of Purple Clean and it took off the thick brush painted Testor's blue leaving a good body. Now all I need to do is find some chrome parts and one of the rereleased MPC Trans Ams for the rest!

Any idea if the Starion is available in the wide body version like the Conquest?

Got a few things, today. A couple of tins of Humbrol white, in flat and satin. A new tube of GS Hypo cement,  a bottle of liquid nail monomer, and a very reasonably-priced Accurate Miniatures McLaren.

The Superbird is actually molded in blue...is that an early one with wire axles and one-piece tires?

Didn't get the today, but over the past weekend picked these up at a swap meet. Both kits are open but unbuilt and still in the plastic.

Found these two today.

Don’t know much about the Studebaker.  I think it’s a Johan?  Not sure.  But it’s in pretty good shape.

Yep! Definitely Johan. I want to pick one up, when I find the right price.

Normally military vehicles don't excite me but I've always had a sweet spot for this one. I was able to make a deal by way of a counter offer on ebay. Sometimes you get lucky sometimes not.

I once had a Testor branded kit of this model, sold it and wished I hadn’t. I have been looking for another ever since!
