Damn it! I did it again! First it was the Moebius lifted ‘72 Ford f250 and today it was this. Two kits I swore in previous posts I would never buy. I hope this doesn’t become a habit.

In all honesty, after researching the performances stats of the C8, I’ve grown to respect it more and it’s definitely needed to fill the hole in my corvette lineup. Let’s hope for possible future ZO6 and ZR1 versions.

Again from ebay, again in 1/32 scale Mazda R360 Coupe 1961 Japan Grand Prix! This was the beginning of a one make series.

Nice score, been wanting those Revell Premium kits.

Is that the 850 convertible?

Didn't get a chance to snap a pic yet... but I found a great condition original issue AMT T521 Double Header Trailmobile van trailer set & converter dolly with no missing/broken parts and lots of stuff still bagged and a nice box for $25 plus a donation to a veterans' fundraiser at a thrift shop.

Am going to make this 2 separate 27ft vans for 2 separate big rigs, one of which is going to be an AMT Autocar made to look like an old Roseburg Forest Products unit, since I do not want to use up space on a double trailer unit, but will build the dolly as well so I can use it as a wiggle wagon with 1 truck or as 2 separate trucks' loads.

Got this one today. I have a penchant for oddball kits. It's a Chinese SUV made by Great Wall Motors. They do import the actual car but not to the US1/24 GWM TANK 300 Assembly Model KIT Basic Edition (Unpainted) – USA ...

These came yesterday.  They look good at first glance.  The K-code version has 3 intake options, seems to be lacking only the stock hood as far as building a stock Cyclone.  Odd they didn’t include the stock hood.

Good looking Comet's!

Where is the go-to place to get the best price on these?

I got mine from Spotlight Hobbies...many vendors have them.   Prices all seem to be within a couple bucks of each other.

What differences have you noticed between these two kits other than lowered suspension and wheels & tires for the Pro-Touring edition?

"Lowered suspension" amounts to a wholly different chassis.  Much more difference between these two kits than between the "restomod" and stock Novas, or '65 Mopars.

I'll be investing in a few Pro-Touring kits in the future then.

Yes.. also different seats, roll bar, exhaust, etc.  I haven't compared all the parts, but plenty different.   I like how the Pro Touring has the different chassis with room for wider rear tires (the K-code one has some very narrow tires).

The stock Comet having narrow tires is correct.  Those cars are based on the first generation Falcon (with a longer wheelbase, except wagons).  Big tires just don't fit on those cars.

The Moebius stock Comet underbody is to an extent cribbed from the AMT '66 Fairlane and has slightly bigger rear wheelhouses, similar to what would be done to get decent slicks on a Comet without cutting the quarter panels.  But on a 100% stock pre-1966 Falcon or Comet, there just isn't a whole lot of room for bigger rear tires.

Stopped by a "Toy Show" just to see what they may have.  A couple of the vendors had a sparse selection of models.  Came home with a sealed '56 Nomad and an opened Revell standard '40 Ford coupe. $35 for both of them, not a bad deal.
