Now that I'm much older and have a daughter of my own, I can understand why my parents were opposed to me having a van as my first ride.. so from the land of ebay, an original issued sealed kit. 🤔°° now I've gotta have more..😁 I see that the Revell Stranger then things '77 Gmc Squawk van kit comes out sometime soon. You know about the Tamiya 1/12 scale 1970s Dodge van, right? It’s an injection molded body for R/C. It would need an interior. It sits on a monster truck chassis, so you it would need street wheels and tires. A pretty cool canvas for a ‘70s custom paint job. You can find the bodies on eBay. 1
meechum68 Posted Saturday at 11:07 PM Posted Saturday at 11:07 PM So this post is a .. what I got, and what my picked out for me to build for her. The road car is for me, and so is the mica silver and clear, all from the LHS. The 57 is for the wife, and the teal is for it. Will be doing teal and white interior as well. The kit is from the LHS, and the paint is from HL(LHS didn't have it) I also think the wife likes going to my LHS, especially when she knows I will build anything she wants. 4

I did not know about the 1/12 Dodge van, so I went and did a search. Pretty cool, but I'd prefer to stay with the smaller scaled vehicles. Although the larger scales would be easier on this older guys eyes to build, they take up to much real estate for displaying IMO. But I do appreciate you turning me onto something I knew nothing about.
MR. Macabre Posted Sunday at 08:06 PM Posted Sunday at 08:06 PM I ordered 3 sets of aftermarket 3d printed HEMI headers from ICEMAN Productions. I used a set of them on my '69 HEMI powered GTX, and they were a perfect fit. I'm currently working on a '68 HEMI powered Dodge Dart Super Stock car, and I wanted to use them again. Problem was they were on backorder for a couple of weeks, so when I got an email stating that they were in stock again, I went ahead and ordered 3 sets of them. 3
LDO Posted Tuesday at 03:33 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:33 PM I’ve wanted one of these for a long time. This one is a bargain (relatively speaking). It looks like the body has been painted…unless it was molded in blue. Cool car and very hard to find model. 4
sfhess Posted Tuesday at 05:12 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:12 PM I have a built one around here somewhere. Very cool.
Bainford Posted Tuesday at 06:59 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:59 PM Great score! I have never heard of this kit, but would surely pick one up if I saw it.
Zen Posted Tuesday at 07:24 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:24 PM This showed up the other day, pretty cool street truck from back in the day .......... Wheels in the box look a little different than the box art build, box art wheels look like Z28, these look like a Saleen style wheel. 5

I wonder if someone still has the molds for them? They seem pretty accurate to me.

WillyBilly Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Mail call from A few Sprues loose, and Hobby Inc. M1009 conversions for Revell Blazer, and a couple police push bars, and a 1/16 1964 1/2 Mustang. 1
dave branson Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Got these today from Niffys Kustom off of Ebay nice scoops. They were 20.00 + shipping for 14 scoops roughly 2.15 each 2
iamsuperdan Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Well, if you have enough patience, and you stumble across a listing at the right time, you can indeed obtain your holy grail kit at a price that isn't completely mental. I finally have it. It arrived safe, and properly packaged. And is 100% damage free!!! This is the first Tamiya Volvo 850 kit I have received that didn't have a damaged A pillar. As suspected, the decals are a little yellowed, so I pre-emptively ordered a set of SK Decals through Spot Model, which arrived a few weeks ago. Now I have the pair. Me so happy. 5
meechum68 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Those are some great finds!! Love the Volvos!! And the Interceptors are stupid cool!!
