This was my first mail order kit that I ordered from Auto world back in 1977 for the price of $2.19 and $1.00 shipping.  I know I drove my mom crazy asking if it had showed up everyday !IMG_8661.JPG.8fd521133f728c6073c9fa4bb1ada367.JPG

I had acquired another about 10 years back but my son claimed it as he's a Mopar guy. He took it with him to Bahrain, now its in South America.

This one is complete except decals. And I made sure to ask my wife if it came in the mail everyday since I placed the order on ebay 😄

Does that Kent Fuller dragster have a Chevy engine? And is that the only option?

The artwork shows a Pontiac engine.  Those Atlantis kits include two engines; not sure which other one is in that kit as it has not yet turned up around here.

The Chrysler 392 has been used in the Studebaker kit, the small-block Chevy with the supercharger atop the engine is now in the '57 Chevy hardtop kit.  The turbine engine isn't really "right" for a dragster (and probably doesn't fit the dragster chassis anyway).  So, besides the Ford 427, Pontiac, Cadillac, and the other small-block Chevy, that leaves the Buick yet unused.  Hopefully it will resurface in one of these kits soon.

Well I'll be a monkeys uncle, look what can be included in that Mopar Nat's package I spoke of. At a closer look the black on the Champion sticker, Walker sticker, some of the outline on the 0 of one of the 405 H.P. and the upper tip edge of the 3 on one of the smaller 43 numbers is missing. The other option is when I attend the NNL East this April, take them along with the other decals I plan on talking to STS decals about reproducing. Your call.

Completing my rally, Trio. These were the cars over the years I was impressed with in the WRC. There are more, but these were/are my favorites. Today the Renault R Turbo showed up.

Stopped at a Walmart outside of my normal orbit, which happened to also have models.  Nothing at the top of my wish list, but I did get the retooled Mustang fastback since it's a parts bonanza.

There was also a nearby Michaels and I had a 40% off coupon.  Scored a Revell '70 Torino Cobra.  Real happy about that since I missed out on previous releases.

Found a few treasures at Buckeye Scale Auto show in Hilliard Ohio...a hobby shop was clearing inventory, resins were $10 each, C-10, mustang, and dodge L700 were half off. Box of 1/20 scale parts, LRW kit and new shirt!

Very nice, love the resin bodies, they usually run up to $50.oo Each.

Odds and ends over the last 2-3 weeks:

1:24 Nitto Toyota Lite Ace Wagon kit

This one needs a bit of TLC as it had sustained damage to the body, but I bought it knowing that.

1:25 Airfix (MPC) Toyota Celica Supra kit

1:25 Revell Datsun 240Z kit

Note the GB address on the Z.

1:25 Revell Chevy Caprice kit

No lightbar with this one, but I wouldn't want to build it as a police car anyway.

Those kits are surprisingly detailed and well-done for a self-proclaimed Snap-kit - they’re a fun build!

Picked up a new Olympos HP-101 airbrush to replace my 40+ year old model. Only took three days to arrive, with free delivery, from Japan.
