rattle can man Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Does that Kent Fuller dragster have a Chevy engine? And is that the only option?
Old Buckaroo Posted March 11 Posted March 11 This was my first mail order kit that I ordered from Auto world back in 1977 for the price of $2.19 and $1.00 shipping. I know I drove my mom crazy asking if it had showed up everyday ! I had acquired another about 10 years back but my son claimed it as he's a Mopar guy. He took it with him to Bahrain, now its in South America. This one is complete except decals. And I made sure to ask my wife if it came in the mail everyday since I placed the order on ebay 😄 6

Those Atlantis kits include two engines; not sure which other one is in that kit as it has not yet turned up around here. The Chrysler 392 has been used in the Studebaker kit, the small-block Chevy with the supercharger atop the engine is now in the '57 Chevy hardtop kit. The turbine engine isn't really "right" for a dragster (and probably doesn't fit the dragster chassis anyway). So, besides the Ford 427, Pontiac, Cadillac, and the other small-block Chevy, that leaves the Buick yet unused. Hopefully it will resurface in one of these kits soon. 1

At a closer look the black on the Champion sticker, Walker sticker, some of the outline on the 0 of one of the 405 H.P. and the upper tip edge of the 3 on one of the smaller 43 numbers is missing. The other option is when I attend the NNL East this April, take them along with the other decals I plan on talking to STS decals about reproducing. Your call. 1 2

Robberbaron Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Stopped at a Walmart outside of my normal orbit, which happened to also have models. Nothing at the top of my wish list, but I did get the retooled Mustang fastback since it's a parts bonanza. There was also a nearby Michaels and I had a 40% off coupon. Scored a Revell '70 Torino Cobra. Real happy about that since I missed out on previous releases. 8

Spottedlaurel Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Odds and ends over the last 2-3 weeks: This one needs a bit of TLC as it had sustained damage to the body, but I bought it knowing that. Note the GB address on the Z. No lightbar with this one, but I wouldn't want to build it as a police car anyway. 4
