Falcon Ranchero Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Randomly found this in the living room just now. When asked where it came from my parents insisted that the Easter Bunny must’ve come. 🙄 yeah ok. But still that’s pretty cool. 12
A modeler named mike Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Yesterday, I went to our local flee market and ended up walking out with these 3 kits. One of which will be finding a new home in Montana to one of our MCM members..😁 9 1
mcs1056 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Got these, among others. Seller claimed the Corvette was valuable due to 429 engine on the box art. This is why he never unwrapped it. I don't remember a 429 'Vette in that time, but I'm a Ford guy. Unless someone here tells me to NEVER!!!, it'll be a future build. As for the Chrysler; It looked cool, so I got it. As this was a Marktplace seller, I didn't know it was an older kit. Again, I'll build it, unless... $20 each, and for the two motorcycles I got from him. 4

TarheelRick Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Stopped by Ollie's yesterday to see if they had anything besides ships, missiles, and Indian chiefs. Walked out with a 56 T-Bird and a Jaguar.

Might end up being worth a couple bucks more then a correct one but ,IIRC, not worth the bother. All the people planning to sell them off to bankroll their retirements are going to be sorely disappointed. 🙄 4
rattle can man Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Nice score Modeler named Mike! I would love to find one of those kits. Daniel, where can one find those parts online? 1

wrenchr Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Went to harbor freight this past weekend and they have these mini tool boxes. Perfect for my hobby tools. 5
ewetwo Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Picked this up the other day. Now to find the overhead cam 6 so I can recreate the one I had when I was 17. It would haul butt as it had the factory 4 barrel carb and the split exhaust manifolds. Wish I kept it. 4

Even though an MPC 69 Camaro (optional engine in some kits) and the 1969 Firebird, I got my engine a few years back from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland. MCW Finishes appears to offer one. You might give it a try https://mcwfinishes.com/shop/ols/products/pontiac-ohc-6-cyl-motor-125-scale Here's mt Replica and Miniature version. The Model Car Garage PE Set has the Sprint hood script. 7

Bill Eh? Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I'm heading down to the NNL East shortly. Besides great models on the tables, I'm thinking that the vendors might have some items of interest. So what shows up today? My order from Hobby Search. LOL 6

espo Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Picked up the two Moebius '65 Nova Chevy II kits yesterday. Both the Resto Mod and the SS version have an unmentioned GMC Blower option on a chrome tree. There is a nice set of Chevy Rally wheels in the Resto kit along with a cowl induction style hood. Both kits have the same basic V-8 engine as the '64-year model kits along with a choice of transmissions. Both kits are every bit as nice as the '64's are. 2
