slusher Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 The Comet had a really nice vintage hemi under the hood, maby Revell Parts Pack stuff. Nice score..
slusher Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 The ol' MPC Chevelle Stock car from a LHS that is trying to bring in model builders. They mainly do R/C. And the Hasegawa 1/48 Macross Valkyrie VF-1S/A Super Valkyrie Skull Squadron I picked up at the Secret Society of Modelers yearly show at Gillespie Field Jesse I have been really curious how the Pepsi Chevelle builds up. I have not see one built yet...
Roadrunner Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Through a trade with a fellow forumite, I was able to add this AMT '70 Challenger R/T convertible to my pile, for a future project. Interestingly, the kit also provides a hardtop.
Furiousgeorge Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Thanks to Carl (falcon wagon), I finally got my hands on a nice '66 Fury kit to replicate one I had some years ago. A great guy to deal with!
Daddyfink Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Jesse I have been really curious how the Pepsi Chevelle builds up. I have not see one built yet... I am going to try and find the correct decals for it, hopefully someone is still making them. Here is one on the board http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92110 And this one I found on the web Edited January 26, 2015 by Daddyfink

Roadrunner Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 A friend of mine has one with a 440 six-pack. It really boogies. I'd imagine. I too had a pal with a 440, a Magnum though as I recall, and it'd nail you to the seat.
disabled modeler Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Thanks to Carl (falcon wagon), I finally got my hands on a nice '66 Fury kit to replicate one I had some years ago. A great guy to deal with! That is NICE...!
niteowl7710 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 My RevellAG Golfs came in Friday fresh from the Big Building down in Champaign, Illinois.
gtx6970 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 saw this last week . and decided to take a chance that it was decent and in fact plastic. I already have a resin one around here somewhere and am not happy with it gives me 3 orginal johan buildups
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Thanks to Carl (falcon wagon), I finally got my hands on a nice '66 Fury kit to replicate one I had some years ago. A great guy to deal with! Nice one Trent! There's something about the '65-'66 Plymouths I've always loved! In my opinion, probably the best looking Fury from the '60s. I find it odd that you almost never see them on the road anymore. I have the convertible to build, as well as a '65 hardtop. I'm looking forward to both! Good luck with your project! Steve
Furiousgeorge Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I had a 1:1 '66 Sport Fury, a beautiful car in style and ride. But I had to sell it, and have longed for another one ever since. This kit will replicate what I'd have done with that car had I been able to keep it.
Tony_B Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Pickup a scratch and dent '60 "Ohio George" Ranchero last night....plus my Michael's coupon...good price. Yikes! Learning about this kit...this will be a challenging one! Found the resin straight 6, but now realizing the lack of bracing and shock towers (huh, maybe I should put this in the "you know you're a modeler when..." thread)....I could always glue the hood shut.....

oldnslow Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Pick up an early mustang kit for the engine bay detail.
Tony_B Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Thanks guys! I'm checking the Ranchero thread, it mentions the Fairlane adaption, but I like the ideas of the mustang. I've got the AMT 66 Mustang hardtop, it doesn't match up too well...any other particular kits that come to mind?
martinfan5 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Finally got my replacement tires for Mengs F350 kit

martinfan5 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Where do those come from? I know the kit tires will slowly flatten I hear. From Meng via the place I purchased my kits from , which was Hobby Easy , I have been trying to get them for about four months now.

I can't wait to start using it and am sure it will become the only AB I will be using!!!! I love the way it feels in my hand!!!!
gtx6970 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Postman droppd of an ebay impulse purchase. Original AMT 1958 Pontiac Bonneville convertible builtup. Hard to believe this thing is older than I am( not by much ) . It doesnt look like anything has ever been painted This will not be going in a box for a future build project.
