Every other El Camino I could find was in the $50 range, so I took this one.

I hear you Sam.

If I had known that you were "looking", I have a couple of those laying around somewhere that I would have let go for less than $24.00.

I don't.

I have a built up & an un-built that may be missing parts.

Both are from the box with the pink custom on the lid.

Darn,

Its one of those kits thats not real high on my want list. But I could be talked into it if in the old looking box. I like the box art for my toy room / family room downstairs. Plus I was made in 59 so its a given

Flea Market Day.  The Die-cast Lady was there, still selling off her late father's massive collection.  Some weeks she's there, some weeks not, but she always comes with a bunch of die-casts. Unfortunately many of them are damaged or missing fragile stuff like the windshield frames and small trim pieces.

She gave me a great price on a lot of 5 Franklin Mint 1/24 cars.  All are dirty from shelf display but complete with nothing broken:

48 Tucker, Waltz Blue

What could possibly be better than a Tucker?  TWO Tuckers!  She also had the gold 50th Anniversary Edition and I grabbed it.

53 Cadillac Eldorado, with separate up-top.

57 Ford Fairlane 500 Retractable (and everything still works)

57 Mercedes-Benz "Pontoon" convertible

I also found an AMT-ERTL #8056 '40 Ford Coupe cheap, still shrink-wrapped. Because you can't have too many AMT '40 Ford kits!

The plan is for the Oldsmobile to go topless, and the roof section will be donated to a 72 Impala to make the Sport Coupe.

Will do!  I think some of the smaller chrome pieces are missing, like headlights/tailights/turn signals and one of the clear parts.  Let me know if you need anything for the parts.  Thanks a lot!  :)

Going back to work tomorrow!!  YAY!!

Yeah, I ordered them from Heller's website.  Took about a week to get them.  I have seen the tractor for preorder on the US retailer Megahobby's site.

And on Wednesday the post man dropped off this

Now I just have to wait for Gravity Colors release of their Polo paints/decal/masks for the 2015 Red Bull livery which just dropped today.

This is going to be a nice project for the long winter months.

Are you going to build what's left of the Olds as a convertible then. I hope so. And I hope post pictures of sport coupe conversion as your doing it. I'm wondering how easy of conversion it will be? Not only do you have change the roof, but the rear deck lid too.
