Hello Carl. The seat might have a chance. Need to keep filling , sanding and priming. And with a prayer it will be good.

Wow.. from your original photo of your chewed seat I thought it was actually made of material with some type of stuffing like a real 1:1 seat, Very convincing. Glad you can repair it and still love the culprit.. besides who could stay mad at something so cute..

hello Mr Mike. Yes it is kind of filled but I just stuffed it back in and put the putty over it. The outside is a rubber/ plastic material. Had something that might work and took a gamble. Did not have anything to lose. But somehow it worked out. Here is a pic of the primered seat. Using flexible materials on it. Glad I have this stuff at work as if I had to buy the materials, holy cow that would be expensive. Going to have to get some dye for the seat. The dye is a flexible paint,

More sadness than an irk..

My next door neighbors of approximately 32 years and the best couple you could ever ask to have as a neighbors and friends. Michelle was diagnosed with cancer in her liver only a few months ago. She went through the dialysis regiment till that was no longer showing sighs of improvement. She was brought home last Saturday with inhome Hospice care. Today I was informed that Michelle passed away earlier today ?.. such a lovely, kind person, she will be missed. It's been a hell of a year so far with the loss of my Dad and few dear friends. ?

Fireworks. Especially Illegal Fireworks. Even more, the ones from Mexico....

Been nothing but Booms, and Flashes for the last 2 hours. My Rottweiler (age 16 months) is not doing well, and her Vet recommends against Doggie Tranquilizers. He tells us, that they only make her more aggressive and nervous.I sure don't want that in a 100lb dog!

One out of every Ten people here in Bakersfield fancies themselves a Pyrotechnics Expert, so there will be 4 hours of explosions tomorrow night. Fun to watch, but this is my second Forth with my puppy, and I'm not looking forward to it. The Sheriff's helicopter is supposed to be up looking for, and ticketing the illegal Fireworks (Mostly Mortars for some reason) this year, but it does not slow anybody down.  Temp was 109 this afternoon. Supposed to be 113 tomorrow. I hope that will slow down some of the Pyros. It is 9:45pm as I write this, and it is only 99 outside right now. It will be much the same tomorrow night. 100 Deg at 9pm.

My last cat would freak out and hide under the bed during thunderstorms and neighborhood fireworks, but the one I have now is so laid back he just sleeps through pretty much everything.

Years ago we had a greyhound and the rescue failed to tell us about their separation anxiety.  After he managed to break out of his crate, the vet initially put him on calming meds but the doggy downers made him aggressive.  (That story ends well as we got him a roommate and problem was resolved immediately).

My Aussie I adopted a year ago was abused and loud noises scare her.  If you have a CBD store in the area, talk to them.  Riley is on a calming product and it takes the edge off for her and she isn't in panic mode.

Ive always found that animals and fireworks don't mix. We live approximately 1/4 mile from where our town fireworks display is set ablaze each 4th. Great for viewing, and of course everyone wants to be your buddy.. lol. For the past 32  years I've sat inside with our pets calming them throughout the loud percussions. To me once you've seen a fireworks display, they all look the same but I do enjoy the party. With that being said,to those who reside within our shores have a safe and Happy 4th of July..

I was thinking that this was what Alan's Rottie would need........ I've never heard of it not working!

Our 2 Westies we had used to watch fireworks from our front window and sometimes bark at certain ones in the street. Funny to watch them and nice they weren't afraid. The occasional thunder we'd get would just make them mad. They'd bark and have the attitude "knock that **** off".

Last year was the first 4th we had with our 2 rescue dogs and they seemed fine. They were aware but ok with it. Hopefully it will be the same this year.

But, if a UPS truck or FedEx truck comes down the street...... that gets them going!

A small storm came through last night and knocked down a tree branch.  It was about 8"diameter and brached out to at least 20'.  Now it's cut up and dragged away.  It was hard working it with the heat and very high humidity.

Your significant other taught them to do that. "Model kit delivery alert".

Speaking of fireworks. Like so many other places, the KC Metro area could pass as a war zone with all the fireworks, Last night, the third of July, one of the neighbors had sons and daughters visiting and brought the grandchildren. Not a problem until the sun set and the bored children went out to set off some fireworks. We live on a corner that has an unfinished roadway on one side of the corner alongside our home. This is where they thought it would be best since it was away from where they were visiting and might not bother their parents. The only problem was it was outside our bedroom, and they weren't going to move even after I politely point out to them the error of their ways. I was about to call the PD, but they ran out of ammunition.

So my sister and her husband came back home today as the extraction order was lifted. Butte county has canceled all fireworks displayed and banned the safe and sane usage also. When they came through town there was afireworks stand open. She calls the sheriff's office and was told they the fireworks can still be sold although they can't be used. That's got to be the stupidest thing I've heard.

I had to confront one of the neighbors here in the complex.......... She sits outside on her phone on speaker phone talking and laughing about me. The whole complex can hear her. It got to where I couldn't even walk the dog! I hated to have to say anything to her, because you can tell she has special needs. I just hope that I didn't make things worse for myself..... Some people refuse to lose........

I guess I'm officially becoming the Walt Kowalski Poster Guy for Courtesy-Not.

I've become increasingly agitated by the snot-nosed self-aggrandizing entitled little twerps that over-populate the fast-food industry, Window Witch Division.

I have worked hard for my money and I continue to hustle even in my advanced age - just to afford things in this economy. When I slide into a drive-thru to snatch a little sustenance in the midst of a busy day, I really don't appreciate snottyness, disrespect and discourteous treatment.

Typically it consists of a teenybopper wordlessly tossing a bag of vittles through the window and instantaneously returning to his or her or its or their cell phone keyboard.  Ray Kroc and Dave Thomas must be spinning in their graves.

Usually, I freak out the chippies by just sitting there. If they notice (or their team leader points it out to them), they slide the window back open in obvious annoyance and ask if there is a problem. I smile and say, "You're welcome."

They look at me with the most blank, deer-in-the-headlights expression and ask, "What?"

At that point I explain that they were supposed to thank me for being a customer, which brings revenue into their establishment, which pays the bills and their wages. And encourages me to return, be a regular customer, you know.

So, I tell them, I knew they meant to thank me for patronizing their employer's business so they can be hired and paid. And I was returning the appreciation and politeness by saying, "You're welcome."

That is generally met with a carefully considered response: "Whatever." And an angry slamming of the window.

I get great amusement from it . . . and I truly hope it might sink in later and maybe even make a small difference.

PS: It doesn't work at Chic-Fil-A. Those are surely the most polite, considerate, and genuinely delightful people in the service industry!

If you're lucky you might get a "Here you go". A heart felt thankyou is just not in their vocabulary.
