Obviously pregnant woman was watching and smoking a cigarette. Are you sure that was at a Targè, not Walmart?

My neighbor across the street didn’t like it when I ask them to keep their dogs out of my yard crapping. They seemed offended by me not wanting free fertilizer..

One of my neighbors had a dog that, for some reason, liked to come into my yard for that (I'd guess other neighborhood yards as well). I'd let it dry out, and pitch it over the fence with a sand wedge. It only took a couple of "returns" before the message was received...problem solved.
TonyK Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 On my daily dog walk I go to a field where everyone thinks they don't need to pick up their dog poop because, hey, it's a field. Always feel funny picking up my dogs poop especially when there's a pile right next to what my dog just did but I'm responsible. Something that has become lost on so many people these days.
Rob Hall Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 My dogs only go in my fenced yard. I pick it up to keep them from recycling it.
Rodent Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 I was actually more irked by seeing the pregnant woman smoking a cigarette. Hope they are gone from California before her poor defenseless 3 lb baby is born.
TarheelRick Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 When will this nightmare of 2020 end? Friday night my computer decided it had done it's duty and quit with no notice. OK, figure Saturday I will go into town in the afternoon and get something new.Got up Saturday to a really beautiful sunny day with a mild temperature so decided to work on my shed for a while before going into town. Going down the basement stairs my old worn out work shoes decided it would be a good time to test my ankle strength so they rolled over. After getting up off the floor with a very sore ankle I went on outside, in some pain, but figured it was a sprain and some ice later on would take care of the trick. Long story short there is a crack in the Tibia where it joins the ankle joint, very luck does not require any surgery but will be in a cast for a few weeks. Heard someone say the other day, when DST ends they are not going to change their clocks because they do not want one more hour of 2020 - AMEN!

espo Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 2020, the year that wasn't. that's my thought on that anyway.
HomerS Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 Former marketing people of Toys-R-Us must have moved on GetGo gas stations. Last weekend, my teenage son and I ran to Columbus for an event and I stopped to gas up while here. I pulled into the GetGo station and inserted my credit card.....entered my zip code....and then the labyrinth of questions started. It's 9a so the caffeine isn't fully coursing through the veins and I don't have the readers on so I have to read at arms length and then need to hit the button I think is the 'no'. Am I rewards member? No I'm over 100 miles from home & they are not in my home market Did I want to save a few pennies by joining? No Car wash? No, it's in the 40's out I forgot what the fourth question was.... Final question was if I wanted to donate to the local food pantry? OMG....one more question and I put the nozzle back! I just want to get gas!!

I just want to get gas!! I use cash and avoid all these annoying problems. Also remember that in some gas stations the annoying GasStationTV ads showing on the pump's screen can be muted by repeatedly hitting the buttons at the sides of the screen. We are getting bombarded with ads from every angle!

I guess they use different equipment or settings.
Monty Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 The same dorsal orifices who oinked up all the toilet paper a couple months back went on to make rubbing alcohol the new hot commodity. From the biggest MegaloMart to the seediest Stop-n-Rob at the edge of town, everyone's out. I guess the thought is, you have to scrub everything and everyone down so their Hazmat suits don't get contaminated. Remember when rubbing alcohol was about a buck a bottle? Not online. The profiteers are out in force. You can buy a regular 16 oz bottle on Amazon, but expect to pay $9.00 - $16.00 plus shipping, or if you're feeling rich, a gallon for around $32.00. I haven't changed any part of my daily cleaning ritual, which rarely ever included this stuff, so I'm not going to panic about it. I just like to have some around for mixing acrylic paints and cleaning the airbrush.
crazyjim Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 People are buying up Listerine mouthwsah around here. Rumor has it that the mouthwash kills covia19 germs.

In this part of the country rubbing alcohol has been hard to find for quite some time (months). The latest media-induced panic was paper towel shortage. They mentioned on the news that there might be paper towel shortage, so all the sheeple go out and buy all the paper towels they can find! Fortunately this panic didn't last too long - seems that paper towels are back on the shelves (but with limited availability of various brands). Denatured alcohol is also good for sanitizing. Just don't tell everybody because, it will also disappear from the store shelves. Edited October 28, 2020 by peteski

Snake45 Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 No alcohol at Walmart this morning--they had plenty just a couple weeks ago. Plenty of paper towels on hand, too.
Tom Geiger Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 My irk? At work they make you change your email password every 60 days. They send you an email about 14 days before.. ok that’s fine. I get it and I’m prepared. Then you start getting fricken pop ups telling you to change your password every time you return the screen from sleep mode all day long... nagging like my wife will do when she’s fixed this on something. (She told me at least 2-3 times a day in the week leading up to bulk trash day that I needed to throw out my old spray booth!) So out of frustration I change my password with 12 days left to go just for peace’s sake. And now I’m in that phase where I type the old password and then.. oh yeh, type the new one.. at least a few days of that! Argh!

One megahumongous corporation I worked for had multi-personality and schizophrenic IT types. They'd put you through the same paces, then you'd change your password just to squelch the incessant reminders. New password would work all day. But, next day, your new password didn't work. However, the old one you replaced did! Then the 'change your password' reminders resumed. Rinse and repeat every day until you called IT so they could "create a ticket" [in other words, job security for them]. That would fix the whole issue . . . until the end of 45 days when the "60 day password security" cycle would begin again. We spent more time changing passwords than "innovating." ?

I'm a hard core hockey fan so my passwords are usually a player name and jersey number. It's great when IT has to ask you for your password to work on your machine and they just call you to ask that you come across the office to enter it so it's spelled correctly.

Danno Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 Most of my past employers' IT people were from the other side of a couple of oceans. I used English in my passwords . . . and got strange looks. ?

When I worked with the British company, Help desk was from Poland for 12 hrs and then Australia overnight. I’m dealing with another company now that has its HR functions in the Philippines!
