but I hadn’t read about that particular issue

Yes, this generation Mustang had Takata-sourced airbags. It was probably taken care of a long time ago, but definitely worthwhile to make sure.

Looked it up today - it was actually only taken care of by the LAST owner last year…but handled regardless.  Thanks for the heads up!

Funny thing - the previous owner was named Shelby ?

Forest fire season began today.  There is a fire far enough away to not be an issue, but it grew to about 200 acres in an hour.  Just saw a twin rotor chopper fly over.  Now I'm irked that my next door neighbor doesn't give a #### about their vegetation, which is exacerbated by a fast growing Juniper they planted dead south, that will also be blocking my solar access in the winter.

I love how G00gle keeps allowing spam emails, from people who say "I have checked your website, and you need me to improve it and increase traffic".  Funny thing, I don't even have a website.  The more I report these as spam, the faster they come.

i am so mad. so mad.

i kept reading that target would have the ps5 in stock this week at 7am. i kept waking up early and checking. finally today it shows in stock, i add it to my cart and check out and my card was declined.

i get a text that says fraud alert, did you try to spend 500 dollars at target, reply yes. i replied yes. it says ok, you can use your card again in 3 minutes and make your purchase again

3 minutes later. sold out.

ugg TDBANK. they did this when i tried to buy a computer too last year. i am so sick of their fraud garbage

i was able to get the ps5 at walmart.com

they had the best method of all that i saw. basically at noon today they said it would be available. i kept refreshing and right at noon it loaded saying that i am in line and there is a 6 minute wait. once my 6 minute wait was up, it said i have 10 minutes to complete the order. i was able to relax and pick everything without having to rush.

every vendor should have been like this.

on a side note, i had it in my phone too and i clicked it 1 or 2 seconds later and it said sorry sold out, but we can keep you in line in case there is one available.  it will arrive in may, but i am so excited

I'm continually irked by the little "confused" emoticons posted under perfectly intelligible posts.

If somebody's really "confused" by a post, why not ask for clarification rather than just clicking on a relatively meaningless google-eyed emoji?

Forums lend themselves nicely to two-way communication and mutual understanding...kinda the whole point.

EDIT: See below, right. I'm assuming reading comprehension / verbal communication just isn't some people's thing. Kind of a shame, really.

I have also experienced that.  Good thing is that the forum now shows which used was confused by your intelligible posts, so you can ask them why they're confused (either in the open or via a PM).

We got about 5 - 6 inches of wet snow! Mother Nature... go home. You’re drunk. We’ve had enough of snow and this is ridiculous for late April. Tomorrow temps are hitting up in the mid 50s with sunshine.

I'll probably leave the asking to the confused party.

I figger I did my part by posting in understandable English.  ;)

I'm almost at the point of risking my ability to post on here in order to fully express my true feelings about Testors shoddy quality.

When I first heard they were discontinuing a number of their paints I went on a search for several shades I wanted to have on hand for future projects.  The vast majority of these were only available in spray cans, which is where the quality issue lies.

While searching through my spray can bins the other day, I noticed several new-ish (to me) Testors paint cans that had blown out at the bottom, leaving a huge chunk of congealed goo stuck to the can.

Will I even be able to decant these for airbrush use?

By way of contrast, I have a number of Tamiya spray cans that are over 10 years old and not a single one of them has any signs of blowing out.

I'm afraid your experience with their spray cans is more common than not. I have been able to use the spray cans as long as there is still propellent in the can. After that I think trying to remove the remaining paint may be possible but I'm not going to bother with the ones I have seeping away on the shelf. I would just try and use them all up while you can and then move on to a different product line when they're gone.

Yeah I am respirating the entire truck Ford Kodiak brown/sunburst gold two tone (they are waterborne metallic paints) and I think that a colour matched cowl will look better than faded black plastic.

Yeah, know matter how much restorer you wipe into it, that black plastic will always go back to being faded in a few weeks. I’d go nuts if I owned something like an Avalanche.

Went to a local” hobby shop to get parts and a donor vehicle for an R/C build that O bought a conversion kit for a year ago and wanted to get better servos than the donor and one of the two identical trucks Dad and I already have, but they don’t carry.  One of the employees told me that they still didn’t and suggested another brand that appeared to be better, so I bought them and spent almost $250 in cash today.  Wet to install one of them in the truck I already had the servo I had been looking for and was going to use that in my build project, only to find that it’s too big by just enough that it won’t fit without modifying the already upgraded part made for the other servo. Looks like I have to drive back down to there right get a refund or exchange for something else.

amazon delivery or tracking im to disgruntled to care anymore.  got an email that said my package was out for delivery at a quarter after 8 this morning.  nothing until 2pm when tracking finally kicked and i could expect delivery between 2 and 4pm.  and at 10 to 4 i was the next stop according to tracking and the truck was literally around the corner.  10 after 4 and the driver had a few more delivery's before me but the truck was being shown on the next main street over, literally 2000 feet away.  4:30 the stupid truck hadn't moved in 20 minutes.  4:40 and i was the next delivery.  5pm and there were a few more delivery's before me.  5:20 and the truck hadn't moved in 20 minutes but the driver had a few more delivery's before me.  5:45 and i get an email stating they "ran into an issue with when attempting my delivery and they would try again tomorrow."  now i know for a fact they never showed up here.  for starters we have a doorbell, and to compound the doorbell we have the boss's dog who likes to bark when someone comes to the door.  so instead of leaving work at 4, i left royally ticked off at 10 to 6 with my afternoon plans ruined and my evenings plans disrupted.  so instead of BBQing turkey burgers im eating a tuna sandwich.

The Crook forest fire, which had to be started by a dumb***, has grown to over 6,000 acres.  The wind has been blowing into town, the phone weather app shows gray sky, with "unhealthy air quality for sensitive groups".  It's about 10 miles from me.

Make them aware of what happened when they want you to take their survey.

i had an interesting thing happen. i ordered some expensive items, one was shipped ups and the other fedex. both said signature required by person 21 or older.

when the shipment arrived, i got the package from the driver, and for fedex i asked, do i need to sign, and she said no, i signed for you.

for ups, i also didnt have to sign. he gave me the package and left.

i am very surprised that they are signing for me

This behavior could be leftover from the early COVID pandemic time where contact between humans was discouraged.  Signature requires a close contact.  Still, not cool to not enforce the signature required rule on valuable items.  I wonder if you were not home, would the drivers have left those packages at your door, or took it back with them?

Ebay flakes irk me. As I am getting older I have started to reduce my collection so maybe family doesn't need to deal with so much stuff. Anyway, in the last two weeks I have had two guys just not pay. I can relist and that's fine but why to people bid and win and then just not pay ? Flakes !
