slusher Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Really great work on the chassis ..Serious fab work on your project..
Psychographic Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 A comparison between a stock frame and mine. Next up is getting the front wheels figured out. It's going to be hard to get them pulled in far enough, but I think there's just enough room. It clears the plumbing. I still have some fine tuning to do on the plumbing and I'm trying to come up with an airfilter of some sort.
Psychographic Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 More chassis work, I cut the molded in shocks from the rear and made a pair of my own. The front is looking nice and clean. I made a drop mount for the radiator and it seems to line up perfect, sometimes you get lucky. Next up is a set of permanent spindles and I do believe fab work on the suspension is done.. We've just about got a roller.
bobthehobbyguy Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Looking good. Lots of white plastic in the chassis. Even though you didn't redo the entire chassis you still have a lot of workbin it.
vette1955 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Completely awesome!! Great work on every detail!! Frame comparison really shows the work!!
Psychographic Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) I redrilled all of the front suspension parts and used pins to mount everything. Now that it's all snug, it's time to see how the ride height will be. With the frame in the interior tub, and the tub in the body, this is how it will sit when parked.
