I have no picture but I met a AMC Pacer today, dark green with white roof. I think it had California plates om it that was TRUPACE.

I wonder how that has ended up here in Norway.?

Reminds of the period British car magazine that road tested a newly-imported Pacer, complete with dodgy RHD conversion.

They were not impressed.

In a container on a ship, probably.

It didn't rust out completely on its ocean cruise?

Interesting...googling turned up pics from that article and a RHD car (maybe the same car...custom RHD dash).

Yesterday I saw a late (2018 or 19) Corvette, metallic/pearl orange with wide black stripes and lots of black trim. It looked like something Batman would drive in the Halloween Parade. Cool!

The true question is "why" it ended up in Norway.  An economy car so underpowered that they had to add a V-8 to move it off the dealer lot.  An "economy" car with a 1975 American V-8.  Then again I understand they eat lutefisk up there.  How bad is the fish that they have to soak it in lye to make it palatable?  ?  Hey, we may have lost our minds here but not our sense of humor.

somebody in Norway liked Wayne's World!  ?   It's a recent import, still wearing US plates, so someone imported it on purpose!

Personally, I'd have imported Tia Carrere or Lara Flynn Boyle but they probably weren't available for export. ☹️

Followed his GPS without challenging it?  ?

In that case they are probably heading for New Zealand now as the GPS is showing them the shortest route too a McDonalds.

Quite possibly so, if one imports a car to the country one can legally drive with foregin plates for one month I belive.

Interesting...it was I who posted that article on the SMCars site.  ? I have now posted the complete article in a new thread. in the 1:1 Reference section of this forum

I don't recall seeing the silver/grey RHD car before though, so I find that one of interest.

Note that the registrations on the cars shown in the RHD car above, the one reviewed in the article, and  a third one in the ad I posted with it are all different.  So how many were there?

I once again spotted this car just a couple of hours ago going north (southbound last time) this time on the same road. Quite possible that someone here has imported it.

I guess the only explanation is someone had alot of extra steel tube laying around.  This thing was running around my neighborhood and it was LOUD - check the open exhausts:

Just tooling around SoCal.  Nothing that unusual?. Second generation GT-40  On the south southbound 5 going through Oceanside.  Love the sound of a Ford V-8

Not necessarily interesting but odd ,I  saw 22 UPS trucks in like 3 minutes this morning.Must have been close to their distribution center I guess.

With time you forget just how big these cars were. This looks like a 98 so it would have the longer wheel base than the 88.
