That was my first car (well, the first car I drove legally on the rode) Mine was a 2 door baby blue with a white top and a 289. Fun little car, too bad I totaled it drag racing a friend on a back road. I was on the wrong side of the road next to my buddies 70 Fairlane 500 going about 75mph when a lady backed out of her driveway. It turned the bumper on her van blue on the corner, knocked out the tail light & bent the back door a little. It caved in the drivers side of my Fairlane from headlight to tail light. With a new fender, door, quarter panel & a lot of time I probably could have fixed it but I was 16 and it was just not old enough or cool enough of a car back then. Thanks for the memories!

Quiet Eric Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 I’ve seen this car around the neighborhood but this is the first time I caught it in a parking lot. Beautiful ‘67 GTO with a 4-speed
Xingu Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Just getting caught up on this thread. The spirit of this thread is to post about the cars you see out driving or the ones you see on the side of the road during your journey. We have a separate section for car show photos.

I gotcha, sorry.I’ll be the first to admit that I often post pics of cars at cruise nights or coffee and cars shows. From now on,I’ll only post cars that I see on the side of the road,or during my journey driving around.
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Saw these at a local body shop. I recognize the Silver Shadow but can't identify the other 2.

Brian Austin Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 No pics (I was driving) but just the other day I saw an '80s Toyota Van (windowless panel version) with a ladder rack on the roof that seemed a little out of proportion for the little van. It appeared to be someone's work truck, and in good shape. Then later in the day in another town I saw a GM "Dustbuster" minivan. Crazy!
Rob Hall Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Just spotted this heavily modified for off-roading old Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ) across the street...
Quiet Eric Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 A customer at work dropped by in this incredibly clean specimen of an Eldorado
Spottedlaurel Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 That Cadillac looks fantastic. There's almost always something interesting to be seen in this car park, even in lockdown, and it was great to see this today. For any of us in the UK of a certain age they were the iconic family car of their time: 1971 Ford Cortina 1300 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr My dirty Lexus in the background. 1971 Ford Cortina 1300 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr We had three of them as family cars at various points during the '70s.
Rob Hall Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Beautiful fall day, took a drive through a park and saw a gorgeous white '61 Cadillac convertible, rolling top down. Also a sharp red '74-77 Corvette.
RSchnell Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Not sure what this little blue thing is, but found it interesting. Saw this pair of '57 Chevs while out running errands.

Even rarer that it's a surviving 1300. Underpowered for its size really. steve

Tiny electric cars like that are all over China. The woman we were with there called them “old people cars” because you don’t need a driver’s license - and apparently that is an issue for old people in China? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wsj.com/amp/articles/chinas-giant-market-for-tiny-cars-1537538585 Here I am next to one a couple years ago:

Interesting! I will say that lady was scooting on down the sidewalk. I barely had time to grab my camera. I took those pics in Daytona Beach, FL where there are a good number of retirees.
Tom Geiger Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Small electric alternative to golf carts, usable in retirement communities or beach towns like you show..

doorsovdoon Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 My dad had one of those mk3 Cortinas, that too was a 1970 model on a J plate. It was red with a black vinyl roof. I think his was a 1.6 though.
misterNNL Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 With sunny weather here in central Ohio and temperature in the mid 70's a lot of cool stuff was on the road. I saw a '40 Ford panel truck street rod, two C8 Vettes(1 red and other bright blue), a '67 Fairlane convertible and a Bentley coupe. A lot of eye candy on a beautiful weekend.
