Not exactly on the road, but identical 64' Impala SS's. One hdtp, one conv. Both as cool as the other.....20240530_130851.jpg.347cbbf7da5f13a1e3307eb30130b011.jpg

They are both great looking Impalas. The hub caps look almost like a plus sized allow wheel designed to look like the OEM SS hub caps. Someone has some serious money tied up here.

interesting.  i did some googling last night and was rather intrigued by the Hillman Imp.  rear engine, water cooled.  sounds interesting to me.  but it has a look that makes me want to turn it into a 70's era touring car.

kinda digging that brown Sunbeam.

what's the little 2 door in front of the Rover?  and what wheels are on it?

The wheels are Dunlop alloys. Very appropriate for the car’s era.

Some years ago a nearly bought a rally prepared Imp Californian, the fast back version. Turned it down due to an oil leak problem.

I did. They do nothing for me. But the sponsor that put the meet and greet together wanted that photo ( Griotts Garage btw )

todays most interesting car was an old volvo. its not a special edition or anything but it only has 8500 miles on itDSC09416.JPG.20288c377045253fbe438efa11c3f728.JPG

and a sign telling about the first car to visit a wee hamlet. most of my other pics are derelict shedsDSC09413.thumb.JPG.d21e3136f10c47bcde3568080a6ac1a1.JPG

A friend in college had an Imp.  Fun car to ride around in.

There's a bit of Corvair influence in the styling...

A real gangster looking car. Like the bullet hole decals on the side, that used to be a thing.

Just saw an early 60’s Bonneville as well as 2 C-4 Corvettes ZR-1s cruising in a pair!

The Pontiac happens to be a 1961-year model. Nice to see either one of those on the road today.

From my brother across the street from his house at the Old West End festival. Old big houses that were owned by the familys of automotive suppliers and the owner of the Willys corp.

Bullet hole stickers = a real JC Whitney vibe.
