So did you make it to Whitewater Draw to see the Sandhill Cranes also?

Bisbee is where I go for Jury Duty and to deal with the County.

Hyundai's are cheap to buy and to run, good use of taxpayers dollars if you ask me especially compared to some 12 mpg amerikan sled. and face it, its a far better car by most any measure, will probably run twice as long as that Chrysler. One of these days we have to get over this notion that we are the best and so is anything we build, its just not true by a long shot anymore.

But that Chrysler will keep many American mechanics working. I have no problem with agencies getting the best vehicle for whatever it is that they do. Not all agencies need black Suburbans. The notion we need to develop is that we can again be the best and work toward that goal, and not be beholden to cost cutting CEOs looking to move product out the door.

Actually, Tom, I have seen that around a few times over the past three years. This is the first chance I had to get good pictures. I know that one of the Mint companies made two versions, but I would rather spend a little less, and have one or more in plastic.

So, as we head down the hill toward Colorado Springs I keep seeing cool cars, they were still coming as we got to our turnoff so I kept going toward Salida, Probably saw 60+ cars going the other way but as I got into town I turned up a side street and these were parked at the curb, getting ready to leave...

Awesome pix, Dave! Independence Pass is impressive, is it not? And all the territory along those routes! We used to run a hillclimb race just outside Salida. Spectacular country!

And these classics were quite the bonus to the scenery!! Thanks for sharing.
