Now I just have to get rid of it. steve Our local landfill has a sign stating what they will and will not accept as yard waste. Bamboo is one of the things they Do Not accept. I asked out of curiosity what do are you supposed to do with it? I was told to burn it!

FoMoCo66 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Earlier this week I complained about how my suggestion Playlist on Amazon Music was broken and not playing any music I listen to. Well, I have been trying it every day and today is the day that it is fixed. Looks like it self healed.
John M. Posted September 27 Posted September 27 The weekend off. My school bus and I have been busy much of the week. No just school runs but field trips and a couple of sports charters tossed in.
espo Posted September 27 Posted September 27 This is my lovely bride's birthday this weekend. Yesterday we had dinner at our favorite BBQ restaurant with one of her brothers and his wife. Today we're going to our favorite Mexican restaurant. Tomorrow will be steaks on the barby and Monday it's back to the Gym for us both. 4
Rob Hall Posted September 27 Posted September 27 (edited) Beautiful fall weather here in NE Ohio lately. Was at the beach for sunset last night...was out rolling around last night and today in my Caddy, sunroof open blasting Def Leppard's Hysteria (feeling 17 again)... got my 5.0 out this afternoon, put on Van Halen's 5150.. really reminding me of my youth and how long ago 1987 is... life is good all in all, but I'm really feeling my age some days. Got home and put on some Rush...I love 'Subdivisions' and 'Time Stand Still', those two have a lot of personal connection... Edited September 27 by Rob Hall 4

Yup, gotta be the best end of summer in NEO I've had the pleasure of living through! 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) Very pleasant ACME meeting today, as they get geared for the upcoming October 25 show. I say "they" because even though I'm a member, I lapsed attending meetings until the past few months. A really nice group of people, especially notable for the effort and expense they put into doing the "Make-and-Take" events for kids. Some of the best modelers around too, including Bob Downey, Bill Cunningham, Pico Elgin, and "Kit Karson" whose real name escapes me at the moment...among many more. mk11 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Makes me wish I was closer sometimes. Got lured into another wee stroll doon ta tha crik last night... in another six weeks it may be a wee flounder through the drifts Got back and roasted a couple of smokies over a fire and then dug out my vintage pocket golden field guide to stars and laid back on my picnic table and tried to id all the constellations in sight. Only one meteorite showed up and about 8 satellites. They kind of spoil it. Sure happy the decent weather is holding. 2

Mike C Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I seem to have got discounted gas when I filled up on the way to work this morning. Prices had been down to about $2.72 for a few weeks but they just went up to about $2.94 now. But there is this one BP station that's still at $2.72. So I stopped there. The pump said I had to pay inside. I did and then when I was gassing up the car I saw the price on the pump was actually $2.22/gal. This is all for 87 oct regular. 1

In the same, yet very different vein, I bought season tickets to the San Diego Early Music Society's concert series. First concert in a little over 3 weeks. Definitely going to break my personal record for concerts this year.
HomerS Posted Sunday at 04:32 AM Posted Sunday at 04:32 AM Took three sizeable boxes of blankets, bath towels and wash clothes to the shelter. The county shelter that I adopted Riley from runs is rural and runs completely on donations. I got talking with the reception desk showing the transformation she has gone through. I turned around the wife already left the building going back out to the truck. When we were in route, she told me we're not adding another dog...and then she leaves me inside unattended!

TonyK Posted Monday at 09:04 PM Posted Monday at 09:04 PM More of a "pleased for Rush" than me. They are going to do a 12 date reunion tour next year with a chick replacing Neil Peart. Looked her up and read lots of good things. What an exciting gig for her! 2
JollySipper Posted Monday at 09:44 PM Posted Monday at 09:44 PM (edited) It's a beautiful day out.......... The birds are shining, the Sun is singing.......... The Mockingbirds have pretty much migrated away though, so it won't be long before the Crows start coming back around. Edited Monday at 11:18 PM by JollySipper 3
mk11 Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Cruising the back roads on a beautiful fall afternoon with the Dirt band on the stereo, gunning it through a carpet of golden leaves and watching them in the mirror swirl and dance in the golden sunlight. 1
