cobraman Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Thank you Jim. As a person who likes to eat and has a sweet tooth it's a struggle but there are many people who have worse problems than I do. I wish them good news as well.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Had my normal 3 month doctor follow up visit today. All numbers improved. A1C, BP, cholesterol . Doctor said see you in 6 months instead of 3. It's been tough getting them down but maybe I can live to dance at my daughters wedding ! Good man! Keep it up.

Crazy Ed Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Finally got the crown leveled and all the ruts taken care of, so I had 16 tons of Gravel delivered and took care of the North 1/2 of the Driveway FINALLY!!
Joe Handley Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Got my Telluride out to the Batavia Riverwalk and Challenge Dam today, first time the truck has been there and first time for me since 2011 or 2012.
mikemodeler Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Went out with family and friends last night to watch the Chicago teams play (Blackhawks and Cubs) at a bar here in Charlotte. There were 10 of us so they put us out on the patio area (with heaters) to watch the games. Had a blast as the Blackhawks came back and won in overtime and the Cubs dominated the Dodgers to win the pennant and go to the World Series for the first time since 1945! The best part was when people from other parts of the bar came out to the patio and joined us in rooting for the Cubs, never knew there were that many Cubs fans around here!
Tom Geiger Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Cool Peugeot Break Steve! We don't get those here in the USA, nor are there many wagons left in our market!I did notice one universal thing in your photo... 2 car garage, no room for cars! Same here but I carved out a small space for my Geo Tracker (Suzuki Vitera to you)!
Tom Geiger Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 I'm pleased to be back! I have been in Jacksonville, Florida running a corporate conference event (go figger!) for my main client. Worked all my waking hours, and I slept 12 hours last night! Everything went very well, I love when a plan comes together! The one evening I took for myself in Jaxx was to have dinner with a friend of mine from my stamp collecting world. My buddy Ernie and I had corresponded via a board for a couple years. He helped me with group restaurant selection and some Jacksonville logistics. It was great to finally meet him in person, we laughed all evening and had a great time. The highlight of my week fer shure!
oldnslow Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Tom, Next time your in town give me a call, maybe we can get a meal and talk models. Robert
cobraman Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Wife and I went to the State Fair today. Had a good time. Lots of weird foods IMO that I did not try. I will admit to being tempted by the chocolate covered bacon. It's bacon, how gad could it be. Also had deep fried everything. Butterfinger shake is all I had while there.
Joe Handley Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Finally got my little Tamiya Suzuki Jimny painted and stickered yesterday......they truck has only been built for a year now...................
Earl Marischal Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Cool Peugeot Break Steve! We don't get those here in the USA, nor are there many wagons left in our market!I did notice one universal thing in your photo... 2 car garage, no room for cars! Same here but I carved out a small space for my Geo Tracker (Suzuki Vitera to you)! Thanks Tom!I need an estate car, as we Brits call them, for taking my model railway layouts to.exhibitions. How come they aren't sold over there anymore? You're right about the garage. 10 years in this house and it's never seen a car.steve
Joe Handley Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Consumers here have all but run from station wagons and minivans, as well as mid and full sized sedans, compact cars, Full Sized Vans, real SUVs of any size, even sporty cars all for CUVs, otherwise know as crossovers. Basically they take a car or minivan plaform, give it AWD as an option (typically FWD) make a short length, tall in height station wagon out of them with lower mileage, and poorer handling compared to station wagons while loosing the space and utility of eigher size of van, as well as the off road capability of f/s vans and proper SUVs.
charlie8575 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 If I were still physically wearing the USAF blue I would be proud to salute your daughter. I served 21 years as an airplane fixer - everything from avionics to welding cracks in engine pieces. Our pilots are the best, bar none. Next time you speak to her, thank her for me for her service and continuing the USAF mission. A female fighter pilot simply shows the world our USAF is "Sierra Hotel".Sierra Hotel?Charlie Larkin
charlie8575 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Spent the weekend at The Wall in Dunnellon, FL. We started the motorcycle escort on Thursday morning with a rainbow and ended Sunday afternoon with another rainbow. Fall Southeastern Ohio 2014, Wayne National Forest. Motorcycling Heaven in the Fall. Awesome on both counts. We didn't much color here this year. Charlie Larkin

mikemodeler Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Just saw the weather forecast for this week, afternoon highs in the upper 70's/lower 80's with low humidity- looks like it's time to bust out the paints and get some bodies painted for the winter!
Joe Handley Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 Wow! Excellent Diorama, very life-like. David G. Just wait until I get that black K5 out there
