Got a text from my Sister not long after I was done working.........My little Niece started crawling today, plus she stood up on her own Monday night by pulling her self up with my Sister’s pant leg!

Babies grow up so fast. So many special moments along the way...

Yup, my Sister and her husband have been on emergency paid leave since all this started, so they've dedicated lots of time to her the last couple months, at least!

After going from essential to no- essential in April, I was called back to work this week.

Pleasing, but cautiously, anxious about things to come at this company...

Two found things:

1. Thought I was gonna have to go to Hobby Lobby just to buy some paint I want to use on a model this weekend. Decided to make a last minute check of my stash and found a brand-new bottle of the exact stuff I needed! Even better, I found it BEFORE I went to the trouble of putting on my pants!   (The USUAL ending to this story is that I would have found it about a week AFTER I bought another one.)

2. Found my coronavirus "stimulus" check. Got it a few weeks ago, was gonna deposit it last week and then it wasn't where it was supposed to be!  Unfortunately, I did a bunch of cleaning up and reorganizing last weekend and was afraid I'd accidentally thrown it out with a bunch of other old mail. DOH!  Today I went looking for it again and found it--in a stack of "important new" mail that I'd already searched at least twice. WTF?  Oh well, I found it, and found it BEFORE I accused The Lovely Mrs. Snake of picking it up and hiding it as a joke (or to teach me a lesson), which was going to be my next step. Whew! :D

BTW, for those who don't know them, here are Snake's Surefire Ways to Find Lost Things

1. Go buy another one. The one you were looking for will reappear within a week, exactly where it should have been. (This is why I own two and three of so many things, such as tools.)

2. Forget it and go on with your life. The NEXT time you're looking for something you can't find, you'll find the thing you needed THIS time.

3. Accuse someone else of stealing or moving it. The item will appear shortly after your accusation and you will never hear the end of it.

Ever had one of those little corner that you rarely venture into and then see something that reminds you how long it's been since you've been there....

I am pleased that we slipped house arrest and visited with my daughters and the grand babies yesterday. It was our 39th anniversary and we practiced social distancing, sitting in the yard. It was wonderful to get away from current affairs.

The twins eating cookies. They are notably bigger than we last saw the close to 3 months ago.

Yes! They have these baby biscuits to gnaw on for that reason. They are 10 months old.

Happy birthday Clint Eastwood turned 90 today!

Good for him! :D He and my Dad and G. Gordon Liddy were all roughly the same age (within a year). My Dad didn't quite make it, but he got pretty close (87).

Got another video from my Sister, my niece has now said Mama, adding “1st Word” to what she’s done for major milestones in the last 2 weeks, and by 7 1/2 M/O too?

She looks plenty happy !

She usually is too, she’s just starting to teeth right now, so that isn’t a constant at this time.

Got a package in the mail today that I’ve been waiting for two months while on back order.Nothing to do with models, but still made me happy to finally receive the order.

Interesting day.. after a long cold spell due to Covid I got two job calls today. One about a job from before the epidemic, setting up an interview and another out of the blue!

Toilet paper is getting better at Walmart every week. This week for the first time in 3 months they even had the kind we normally use and prefer! YAY! They even had both 12 and 20 packs of it. I just bought a 12-pack because I still have most of the case I had Amazonlifted in in April. (That will remain my "strategic reserve" and if possible, I'm going to just buy one of those 12-packs every 2 or 3 weeks the way we did way back in the Days of Normal.)

Hi Snake, I showed my wife the pic and all she saw was her Nikes. Does she know the name or where she got them. She likes the color and the Velcro.

If not,no big deal. I tried to send message, said you can't receive?

Thanks,george
