Hi Jesse, Thank you sir! Richard, Shouldn't you be working on that Woody? Rick, Add a few zeros and we'll talk Hey JT, You calling me nuts???? Brother, I'm not the one building that insane trike in the Other Models Section !!! Curt, I put 135mm's in for the main jets but I don't know if that will give me enough top end on the Mulsanne straight ! Hi Scott, Thanks, you got your hobby room done yet? Eric, Thanks for commenting, I'm a big fan of your work! Hi Chris, You've got no time to be looking in here, get that drag car done ! Thank you Gene ! Hi Mike, Always good to get support from fellow non finisher! Have not made much progress this past month. Still finishing the first carb... Made up the throttle shaft and valves... Added the throttle lever and made sure I have 90 degrees of travel and valves wide open at full throttle... Hooked up the linkage... more..........
Randy D Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Making up a working throttle cable.... Thanks for looking ! Randy
Mark IV Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Making up a working throttle cable.... Thanks for looking ! Randy Yeah, because working butterflies were not enough you find "micro spring" and cable to go INSIDE IT to make a throttle cable! We are not worthy!!!!!
Pete J. Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) Ok, I'm going to go shut the mill and lathe down. I got nothin!! Pete out, Boom! Edited February 14, 2017 by Pete J.

blunc Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 You just have to admire a craftsman that makes the rivets he counts. BRAVO sir!!!
Belugawrx Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Very Nice work Sir.... Always great to see your updates....hope you are doing some sort of slide show...?The patience to achieve the detail,,..... blows my mindCheers
Codi Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Note to self, need micro-spring...........for you know what. I don't think I've every seen ANY model weber carb, no matter what the scale, as nice as this. I had them on my MGB as a kid, and your pics bring back memories (being an MGB, most weren't that great). The shot with the light shining down through the throat is just a big ol' giggle. Thanks for the update Randy, Tim
gtx6970 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 I got nuttin . but holy smokes. And I thought the scratch built Weber alone was something, now you making it actually work with a functioning cable and linkages. .you sir are modeling at a different level than 99.999 % of masses.
mustang1989 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Yep..................that'll sum it up right there!
Davewilly Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 WOW! I can barely see it in the picture...let alone be able to see to make it!! ....or find the part I just cut even though I heard it go back and to the right and bounce twice...so it has to be right ......here somewhere maybe....
Art Laski Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Fantastic work, Randy! I so admire your skills. Can't wait to see this...

Codi Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Randy Randy Randy...........I know it takes time to correctly jet 4 webers, at least that's what I'm guessing you've been doing since the last post but it has been quite a while.............ready to share yet? Hope so! cheers, tim
