  2. Must be A.I., mine never did. 🤪
  3. Wow! I am humbled and really appreciate your words. Thank you! Hello, The color of the Marmon Wasp has been a controversy for decades. I've been researching this topic for years. In a nutshell, all evidence points to the shade of yellow I used is the correct one. Some points are: -The photographic emulsions of the day were not sensitive to red. The hint of orange in the color will make it show dark in the pictures. It has been proven that the current color will show that dark in period emulsions. -The car was kept by the Marmon family for decades and it was faded. The museum acquired it in the early 1950's . The car was not completely restored like they do today. Only repainted. Ray Harroun himself oversaw the process. Some parts are believe to still have original paint. There is a 1946 movie film in color called "Crucible of Speed" where Ray Harroun himself talks about the car. The car looks quite faded and most likely fueled the confusion. -In the 1960's there was a magazine article that referred to the car as "orange". Part of the confusion is that Ray Harroun was apparently quoted to say "I remember it more orangey" or something along those lines. Apparently he was referring to the faded car prior to the restoration. In summary, after years of research and conversation with like minded lunatics... I mean, other enthusiasts, I truly believe that is the correct color the Marmon Wasp raced with. Changes to the car from race configuration to today is another story I can spend hours on. Thanks, Ismael
  4. For once I can answer this question.
  5. THUNDAHBOID the new EV with 10,000 BHP goes 444 MPH after hovering, within two seconds.
  6. Pantera was quite different than the Mangusta, Styling, of course, was different. Pantera had monococque construction where the Mangusta had a separate central backbone chassis.
  7. Here is a 3D printed 1960's AMC. https://www.ebay.com/itm/267277025317?itmmeta=01JZHEBE4GFS1N90QQEKSHWV9T&hash=item3e3af3c025:g:wqkAAeSw-ltoQJjr
  8. "Coffee" I'd reply, "I'm about to make a BIG pot", and this is when they'd cop to wanting to collect 2 dollars so they could go down to the liquor store and get a bottle of "TUNDAHBOID".
  9. Looking great!!
  10. Wasn’t he bit in the face by a Black Mamba in Kill Bill?
  11. I’ve always wanted to build this car, and when this kit comes out I’ll definitely buy a couple.
  12. Gatherings at the front door of my shop in the morning when I arrived to open for the day were what were then known as "bums", begging quarters for "a cup of coffee"
  13. Today
  14. Direct descendent of the Mangusta. De Tomaso smoothed out all the problems of the original & made a deal with FoMoCo to market the cars through Lincoln/Mercury dealers. Not quite as pretty, but they managed to retain the original lines as designed by Ghia. Still, a classic car well ahead of it's time.
  15. Fantastic work. All those Mopars look great. I like the rear light work you performed. The lights on those old Lindberg kits should be like the Johan tail lights.
  16. Cat's really enjoy helping humans...
  17. Thunderbird was the go-to vino for impromptu urban gatherings.
  18. I like the A body Charger...a Canadian model? 770 Australian? 6cl or V8? no worries if you know nothing about it.
  19. I'm sure we can work out something, do you want me to bring it to the meeting this month (7/20) or do you need it sooner? Have you got a 289/302 to spare? Let me know, Lei
  20. Oh man that paint job is to die for, stunning work 👍
  21. Looking for a set of side pipes similar to those in the MPC Demon Vette, Turbo shark, Mako Shark etc. See photo.
  22. Those wheels really make her look sporty 👍
