Well done! How did you do the tank straps? -

Correct me if I am wrong but that 1:1 pic looks like a Pontiac overhead cam 6 banger. -
Black wash for grille?
Bills72sj replied to Steamboat's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I use Tamiya Panel Line Accent as well. The wicking is great but it takes many applications if you are darkening larger openings. The solvent in it can affect glossy surfaces some times. I kind of like the sound of the acrylic paint. -
Another Example of Ineptitude by the USPS

Amazon did that to me once. A package that was going from Portland, OR to Salem, OR (about and hour drive) had to loop through Idaho 1st. -
The Big Boys-Large Cars
Bills72sj replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My parents bought a brand new 77 T-bird in Lipstick Red when I was in high school. My brother stole it and ran away from Nebraska to Texas in it. When he got caught down there, the two cops that caught him, told him that if he gave them the car, they would let him go. My brother declined their offer. This was after he tried to steal my step mom's 71 Jaguar XKE twice two nights before. -
The Big Boys-Large Cars

I had totally forgotten my 2nd car was a 71 Galaxie 500 4 door in Baby Blue. It had a 400M. A friend and I bought it for $350 with a bad starter. We learned that you cannot push start an engine with an automatic no matter how fast another car pushes it down the road. Once we got a new starter in it, we raced our buddy's 69 Mustang with a 351 windsor. That Galaxie would spank that Mustang from a dig, from a roll and any speed on the freeway. -
Love that black wrinkle paint. What did you paint the fan clutch with?

Very nice GMC. How did you make the canvas top? (Materials, coatings and such) I looks stunning.

Thanks for sharing. Did you notice any differences in the side marker lights in your research? -

THE FORD DRAG TEAM 1970 PRO STOCK MUSTANGS
Bills72sj replied to M W Elky's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Solder works great for headers. I bends easily, stays where you put it and is even the right color. It was my only option for my 427 SOHC motor in my 67 Mustang drag racer. Are you going to mini tub it too? -

Yes, Fireball stuff is excellent. Especially carbs, wheels and door handles.

Thank you Bill. It was actually my practice build for the sleeper cab triple drive. The extra chassis parts in the 75th Anniversary kit made it possible.

Lovely batch of Mopars. Are you going to build the Revell car hauler to deliver them to your dealership?

I used to be into video games while my sons were growing up. The last major one I invested a lot of time into was Cities Skyline. I had MONTHS of work in it. Then I ran into the "Cannot build any more of this type" error essentially bringing my road building to a screeching halt. I was so bummed. Ever since I have dropped playing video games. With my 1:1 and my models, I have something TANGIBLE to enjoy for may years to come.

Wow! I love both of your builds.

Western Star Classic heavy haul
Bills72sj replied to Biggu's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
If you still would consider your 1st color choice, may I suggest using a similar color red in the same paint line then final coat it in the desired color last.
