  1. Steve, Very clever solution. I have never liked the slots either. Do you provide a place in the engine bay, magnetically, to store the hinges when the hood is closed?
  2. Wow, that is pretty cool. You got the amount of orange touches just right. Tastefully done.
  3. That is pretty nice. I love the block technique you used. The dirty bathroom was typical when I was a kid. As an aside, your shop floor is suspiciously clean.
  4. Very impressive. Way beyond my skillset. I love all the metal details.
  5. I dabbled in it when I had access to both a mill and a lathe. Just few side projects for myself and people I know. I have 4 items I made in the dash of my 1:1 Grand Prix.
  6. Those both are pretty sweet.
  7. Wow that is awesome. I too want to build the 58 to 70 series. I have all of them except the rare (and expensive) 68 and 69.
  8. These are the Daisy Wheels I know of. In 1:1 they are American Racing Wheels 200S.
  9. Good to see you are back at it again. I have been in a slump as well. Started at least 5 projects but none of them made it as far as paint. I am currently distracted as I am rebuilding my spare 1:1 455 Pontiac engine for my 72 GP. I will be following your progress.
  10. One of my favorites was Firefly. I actually bought the DVD set.
  11. I guess you were taught to respect other people's (and your) property early on in your childhood. Kudos to you parents.
  12. I am still old school. Scrape paint carefully. Mix Testors red tube with Plastruct liquid and apply sparingly with a toothpick. Model stays together with out losing parts for going on decades.
  13. Very nice! A unique combination of billet wheels retina burning paint.
  14. I am along for the ride. I have dreams of making my L700 into a short tanker. Like the septic tank cleaning type.
  15. Thanks. I long ago I determined that stance is WAY more important than wheels that actually ROLL. So I tend to build suspensions stock in relation to the chassis. I then painstakingly glue the tires to whatever is available. I do so in exactly the position I want them to be located in the wheelwells. Do I get misalignment from the ends of the suspension? Sure, but I do not have anyone in my life flipping my models upside-down to give me any grief over it.
  16. Other than the "Sad eyes" of the outer headlights. That Amigo kit can turn out pretty nice. I converted mine to a 69 Boss 429.
  17. I have gotten stuff from Keith before. He has a quite a few offerings. I have not contacted him for awhile. I could make the decals at home but I do not have the artwork files. A hi-res scan would work but you have already applied yours.
  18. That turned out sweet. What was your method for doing the emblems?
  19. Way cool build. I have the 70 Jo-Han kit and a resin hood. What I do not have is the decals. Any leads?
  20. Dual tires looks much better than dual axles.
  21. After max detailing my big girls interiors, I would do so if I wanted the best possible interior.
  22. Way cool. I was attending the 1987 Car Craft Nationals and we parked next to a couple of guys with a wagon that had the full on RoadRunner treatment to it. I thought it was pretty cool. It was the 1st Muscle Wagon I had ever laid eyes on.
