  1. I have always wanted to own a 1:1 68-70 El Camino. (My 1st car was a 68 Malibu) I have used this kit for 2 custom projects. I need to build a Day Two version for my collection.
  2. Wow, that finish is superb.
  3. So beautiful. I am jealous.
  4. Very nice build so far. I suggest you take the time to detail the Keystone Klassics with semigloss black. I shook my bottle of paint and used a round toothpick dabbed in what paint sticks to the lid.
  5. Yes, Baldwin Motion has both spoilers. You will need to source a flat hood elsewhere. Note: some of the AMT/Ertl Camaros have pretty lame front end shape. But they do have a flat hood.
  6. Excellent result. What was the technique in the red interior panels?
  7. Sweet 57. Did you research the interior colors?
  8. Great job on your mods. Someday, I want to make two 7 car versions like this.
  9. The ones on the little red car are pretty close except for the flat spokes. I actually had someone on the forum volunteer to put in the effort to design, and 3D print them, after sharing very specific dimensions. I asked for only the wheels centers, as I machine my own hoops from aluminum tubing. Here is a photo of the prints he made for me.
  10. I am usually build ONE semi rig (tractor OR trailer) AND 3-4 similar cars in a "batch" build. With the cars, they get parts swapped amongst them to get the options I want with each one. One build usually lags due to a paint snafu or a ambitious modification. I have done a batch, of Challengers, a batch of Chevelles, a batch of Mustangs and a batch of B-body Pontiacs. A made feeble attempt at a batch of C3 Corvettes but lost enthusiasm. I am ready for paint on a slump-buster batch of car trailers. But the slump came back. Presently my bench is clear as I am working on slowly rebuilding a 1:1 Pontiac 455. I got the engine block back from the machine shop last week. I am presently grinding on the combustion chambers to unshroud the valves and reduce the compression a little.
  11. I suggested to my buddy to go similar but different on his wheels for his Challenger R/T SE. He got compliments frequently. I even built a tribute of it.
  12. Way cool tribute. Nice color combo.
  13. Pretty color. Did the engine come from a flying saucer?
  14. Thank you for the review. I always thought the front end was one of the best of the Colonnade era. pretty color.
  15. My favorite are my 1 of 1 customized set of Enkei wheels.
  16. Steve, Very clever solution. I have never liked the slots either. Do you provide a place in the engine bay, magnetically, to store the hinges when the hood is closed?
  17. Wow, that is pretty cool. You got the amount of orange touches just right. Tastefully done.
  18. That is pretty nice. I love the block technique you used. The dirty bathroom was typical when I was a kid. As an aside, your shop floor is suspiciously clean.
  19. Very impressive. Way beyond my skillset. I love all the metal details.
  20. I dabbled in it when I had access to both a mill and a lathe. Just few side projects for myself and people I know. I have 4 items I made in the dash of my 1:1 Grand Prix.
  21. Those both are pretty sweet.
  22. Wow that is awesome. I too want to build the 58 to 70 series. I have all of them except the rare (and expensive) 68 and 69.
  23. These are the Daisy Wheels I know of. In 1:1 they are American Racing Wheels 200S.
  24. Good to see you are back at it again. I have been in a slump as well. Started at least 5 projects but none of them made it as far as paint. I am currently distracted as I am rebuilding my spare 1:1 455 Pontiac engine for my 72 GP. I will be following your progress.
