  1. Very nice GMC. How did you make the canvas top? (Materials, coatings and such) I looks stunning.
  2. Thanks for sharing. Did you notice any differences in the side marker lights in your research?
  3. Here is one I did in 2007. I thought it turned out pretty nice for my skillset at the time
  4. I love both of those builds.
  5. Solder works great for headers. I bends easily, stays where you put it and is even the right color. It was my only option for my 427 SOHC motor in my 67 Mustang drag racer. Are you going to mini tub it too?
  6. Good job. I spliced an AMT 67 Mustang engine bay into my AMT 68 Shelby.
  7. Yes, Fireball stuff is excellent. Especially carbs, wheels and door handles.
  8. My wife had a bad experience with it due to a sister on the opposite side of the political spectrum. After hearing all about it. I refrained from every joining Faceplant. I have never been a fan of unfiltered propaganda. I have better things to do with my time.
  9. Thank you Bill. It was actually my practice build for the sleeper cab triple drive. The extra chassis parts in the 75th Anniversary kit made it possible.
  10. You are going to have fun with this. I know I did with mine.
  11. Lovely batch of Mopars. Are you going to build the Revell car hauler to deliver them to your dealership?
  12. I used to be into video games while my sons were growing up. The last major one I invested a lot of time into was Cities Skyline. I had MONTHS of work in it. Then I ran into the "Cannot build any more of this type" error essentially bringing my road building to a screeching halt. I was so bummed. Ever since I have dropped playing video games. With my 1:1 and my models, I have something TANGIBLE to enjoy for may years to come.
  13. Wow! I love both of your builds.
  14. I like your project. Following. I went with adding a sleeper to my hauler. I modified the tire rack and flattened the deck.
  15. If you still would consider your 1st color choice, may I suggest using a similar color red in the same paint line then final coat it in the desired color last.
  16. Nice builds. Welcome to the forum. This is a very encouraging/supportive community here.
  17. I like the appearance. I am not so sure they would have sold very many. I am not thinking a Mercury demographic buyer would be in the market for a mini pickup.
  18. I do the same. Carve out the back of the dash to create an opening. trim and glue the decals still on their backing paper. It keeps them stiff and flat. Then apply Testors Window maker (canopy glue) with a toothpick to just the right depth. It wicks into the gaps around the edges and dries crystal clear. I have used this glue on many models over the years. No yellowing noted.
  19. I repair commercial restaurant equipment an have been doing it for 20+ years. The old school stuff I work on, I could walk up to it and figure out its problem in about 10 minutes. All the newer stuff coming online is so full of electronics I always have to call tech support or... try to read a 181 page service manual on a phone. (Imagine looking through a straw to read the encylopedia). I am so looking forward to retiring to get away from this technology. BTW my car? 1972 Grand Prix. Quadrajet, points, R12 and NO computer anything.
  20. I am lovin' that Comet. I also see you do a nice job detailing your rims on the ones that need it.
  21. Way cool project. My dad used to drag race in the 60's. Does your family have a name for the car?
  22. Very nicely done. I like that you opened up the slots on the Rallys. Wheels with the holes chromed over just look wrong.
  23. Cool project. I am curious why the interior floor need to be raised so high.
  24. That is looking pretty good. Nice color.
  25. I use SuperClean at full strength. I have had a few paint jobs that needed to go back and forth from that and brake fluid. I have not tried 91% on anything yet.
