With that graphic scheme, it must be one of the Fujimi kits, Exceedingly well done Robert. All of those graphics to apply as decals ... I shudder even thinking about it. This is one to be very proud of. You sure have come a long way since I first started following your work on Automotive Forums.

Byron, Tamiya does not make a 1/24 kit of the F430. They only make a 1/10 RC version.

Dale, would I be correct in assuming that you shot the paint through an airbrush? Fantastic paint finish.

Robert, is it the Revell kit?

I went to revell.com This is what I found out. The windshield part number is in fact 130. However, the kit part number is referred to as 2811, not 8511. I don't know if this could make any difference Mike, but it could be worth a try.

Great work on the interior. I'm really impressed with the cage. It looks like you took your time with the cage tube joints, instead of just but-joining plastic rod together.

Thanks Randy for your reply. I have never adjusted the ride height before. I will have to give it a try for my built.

A great build up of this model. Details under the hood look awesome. A few questions if you don't mind ... Do you have any chassis pics? Did you adjust the ride height? How did you do the lettering on the intake plenum? School bus yellow looks great. I think I will try one in Gotta Have It Green.

All of the kids' efforts have paid off with great looking models. Applying decals is a lot trickier than it looks. Great efforts all around.

Robin, the P-51 and F-16 look great. Congratulations to the builders for a job well done. My challenge is getting the numbers required for my whole class. If Revell adds the 2015 Mustang to the Make N Take program, my problem is solved.

The kids had never used an airbrush before, let alone a double action. I showed them how I used it, and they adapted to what was comfortable and worked for them. They took to it like a duck to water. Even I was more than pleasantly surprised when I saw the results they were achieving.

Charlie, I am very fortunate that both my Pricipal and the students' parents were very supportive of the idea. The school's parent council generously funded 2/3 of the cost, while I covered the other 1/3. I am a strong believer in hands-on learning, creating, and the pride that it builds.

The story continues … And now, a few of the finished models.

The school year has been over for about a week now, so I thought that I had better post the pictures of my Grade 5 class’ model cars. It was the most ambitious effort to date, in terms of painting and assembly. Again this year, we left a few parts off, as they would have been too fiddly and frustrating to assemble. All in all, I think they did a great job and I am very proud of all of them. I think that they are quite proud as well. I will let the pictures tell the story.
