  1. Looks like the one that showed up at VIR to race in 2003. Looked like fun but I could lap him twice in 30 minutes of practice in my Bugeye.
  2. Love those Nomads!
  3. Steve, here's the link to my booth topic. It'll show you how I was able to match everything up. It's gone through several modifications since I first posted this. I've added lights everywhere and moved the filter location. The bilge blower, ducting and hook ups remain the same except that I don't use the board under the door as an exhaust any more. I put a vent into the door. The blower I have is adequate but I'd buy more capacity if I had it to do over. You can get 170 CFM blowers for about the same price that I paid for the 100 CFM on eBay. I can spray continuously for about 3 minutes before the cloud of spray is visible in the booth. After a couple of minutes, it's clear again. I still haven't decided whether to change it or not. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76088
  4. Bathroom fans are not brushless.
  5. Do a search on eBay for bilge blower. That's what I have on my booth.
  6. What do you use to filter your paint before you use it, be it for an AB or for brushing? Doesn't matter what type (enamel, lacquer, acrylic).
  7. Hi Jake! I've sent you a private message.
  8. Yes, please share your knowledge. Beautiful work!
  9. Click on the More Reply Options tab below and then you'll see the Attach Files option below, right.
  10. If you're spraying out of the can, many recommend Tamiya TS-13 clear. If you've got an airbrush, you can spray Pledge Complete Floor Care or as it's called by here on the forum, Future.
  11. That's an amazing job. I sent the link to my granddaughter to get her reaction. She's becoming a whiz at editing. I'm sure she'll be impressed since my son, her Dad, was only 4 when you put it together.
  12. Both are really well done!
  13. Great idea! I painted the inside of mine white to help with the light. I used the cheap Walmart paint and go over it whenever I doing housekeeping in the booth. My 70 year old eyes need a lot of light. I've just modified my booth for about the 4th or 5th time. I'll post some pics when I get to it.
  14. It's short but it shows some of the lab and a couple of builds on the bench and a couple that are finished.
  15. Clever! I'm anxious to see how it turns out..
  16. I use this: http://www.harborfreight.com/2-3-4-quarter-inch-articulated-vacuum-vise-3311.html I've got two of them. Took the suction cup off the bottom and bolted them both to 2x6s. Couldn't live without them. Cheap too.
  17. You should be proud, it's beautiful!
  18. That's why I'm trying to master acrylics and Future. Very easy to remove and start over, which I have to do a lot.
  19. Try a different primer.
  20. Great looking ships! I have a 1/700 scale model of the ship I served on while in the Navy. It's the USS Norfolk DL-1. I bought it 3 years ago before I even got back into cars. I'm still intimidated by it. I don't want to mess it up because there aren't a lot of them available as well as it cost quite a bit. It's resin. The kit came with the needed 5" gun mounts and ASROC (Anti Submarine Rocket) launcher to convert it to the 1960s configuration. I was aboard from 63 to 66. Any suggestions, references, etc. would be helpful. PM me if you have any.
  21. Nice! Love those 56s.
