BMW 507

Recommended Posts

Finally got this finished over the weekend. Revell did a decent job with this kit but there are definitely some shortcomings. The hood fitment is the most obvious one, but I'm just glad it fits decently. The door panels, particularly the tops of the them were tricky to fit inside the doors. I modified the kit supplied wheels using rudge knock offs from an old AMT 300SL kit. Happy with how the wheels turned out. Body paint is MCW Metallic Mint Green w/Tamiya clear and the interior is Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand. Overall this kit builds into a great looking model and provides a lot of room for more detailing. Besides the wheels, some engine & interior detailing and the modified grille, this one was pretty much OOB.

Thanks for looking in!

Beautiful build there. Great photography too. I saw a 1:1 of these a few years ago at Goodwood, and thought it was such a beautiful shape. Have loved the 507 ever since. You've done the car true justice.

Wow! I love both the car and your build. You've done a fantastic job with it. I need to find me one of these.

Jason, that is absolutely gorgeous!

One of my favorite '50's European cars! In fact, this model and your pics are so nice, I saved 'em all!

Beautifully done all round - one of the nicest builds of the kit I've seen.

Not sure if I have ever seen a real one but what a neat little car.  Super build and photos.
