Ulbo Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 Very nice complex build. It is obvious you are thinking about building models from basic concept to final detailed car model representing its own style and image. Keep working???
Dragonhawk1066 Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 Looks fantastic! And as mentioned many times already, What a Sleeper!!
gtx6970 Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 Thats cool. I have a 64 valiant builtup I think I want to do something along these lines with,,,,,
Tom Geiger Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 (edited) Very nice build! Subtle but effective! It just works as a car most of us would love to own! Edited October 25, 2019 by Tom Geiger
slusher Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Real impressive and Sharp Roger! Perfect color choice!!
smellyfatdude Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 "You may decide to combine parts from the different versions shown, or use parts from other AMT kits for a really personalized model." I realize you started with a promo, but when I look at this I can't help but think that you've taken what they wrote in those instructions, and elevated it to an art form. Whether a model or a 1:1, that's the best of both worlds. A high performance street machine, that still pays tribute to the the look and feel of the original classic lines. Ford built some gorgeous cars in the sixties, and that's certainly one gorgeous scale replica! ?
robertw Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 The first car I ever bought with my own earnings was a white '61 Comet. Had the clear plastic seat covers but certainly not an engine like this model. Great job on this one, hopefully I'll find a model of this car some day.

I have a second one if you're interested in it. It's a promo. I don't know if they made a kit of the '61 Comet.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 VERY cool, Much more than a "Sleeper"! Someone else's nightmare maybe!
Brutalform Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 (edited) Wow, Roger, this car looks absolutely beautiful. The detail is top notch. I like the fender mounted solenoid, and tachometer you added. . Perfect color choice of that era. Edited October 26, 2019 by Brutalform
olschoolkid Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 Sweet sleeper! This is perhaps the coolest model Comet I've ever seen so far.
MeatMan Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 Fantastic job! Did not expect the dual quads at first!
ChrisBcritter Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Sharp, sharp, sharp! Could we see a photo of the chassis?
Sixties Sam Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 Beautiful build! Nice work on the trunk. The latch is a nice touch. Sam
