"You may decide to combine parts from the different versions shown, or use parts from other AMT kits for a really personalized model." I realize you started with a promo, but when I look at this I can't help but think that you've taken what they wrote in those instructions, and elevated it to an art form. Whether a model or a 1:1, that's the best of both worlds. A high performance street machine, that still pays tribute to the the look and feel of the original classic lines. Ford built some gorgeous cars in the sixties, and that's certainly one gorgeous scale replica! ?

The first car I ever bought with my own earnings was a white '61 Comet. Had the clear plastic seat covers but certainly not an engine like this model. Great job on this one, hopefully I'll find a model of this car some day.

They're still fairly common on ebay. I have a second one if you're interested in it. It's a promo. I don't know if they made a kit of the '61 Comet.
