Impalow
Thanks you guys!!! I got this far tonight before bedtime, lots of cutting and tweaking but its starting to take shape!! Still lots to do! On 8/15/2021 at 4:14 PM, Spex84 said: Haha wow. I can't wait to see how the 'vette shapes up. That photoshop looks great. Are you going to design a gearbox/transaxle of some kind or just cover it up with bodywork and let us imagine what's inside? Thank you!! Its a wild one! Plan is to go full detail, and part out some old indy kits I have laying around! Between that and my 3d printer I should be able to make it work, i hope! At some point I'm going to wedge cut the bottom of the body off, a lazy mans section.. so they may just go away naturally… but If they dont then, they will probably get sanded off!

Claude Thibodeau
Hi Eric! Now, we will have to call you Doctor Ritz, Surgeon. Obviously, MD in PLASTIC surgery! This concept drips of good ideas. Bravo! CT
CabDriver
What are you thinking of using for suspension on this thing? The Testor's Alumacoupe might have some useful pieces...
Impalow
Thank you guys so much!! I really appreciate it! I’ll probably just 3d print the chassis and everything.. cause that’s what I do now.. 🤦🏻♂️ By the way… This thing is a straight up fever dream.. hahaha!

David G.
Nice work so far! By the proportions, it kind of looks like it should be a rear/mid engine car. I can easily imagine a big ol' blower sticking up in front of the wing. Or at least an air intake of some kind. David G.

Oh yeah mid-engine for sure!! Im planing on a 348/409 with the uneven fuel injector stacks coming through the split window! I got the bottom of the body cut off at an angle so that really helped the proportions. Then I grabbed the engine from the revell 58 impala, and the transaxle from a penske pc-8 indycar and started working out the packaging.

Impalow
Remember this thing? I finally got back to the bench last night! Got it masked (again...🙄) I swear I have masked and unmasked this thing so many times now...haha. I had some extra time before bed so I did the little contrast-y panel on the front and top. I used old leftover fingerprint vinyl masks from my Gremlin, then sprayed Splash Paints Kandy Green. Then I removed the mask and sprayed Kandy yellow, Kandy green and Kandy Teal working from the inside out Splash Paints Kandys Hopefully getting the rest of it painted this week! Then finally no more masking... just BMF 😐🤣
