Revell 1/24th scale Jaguar E-Type FHC: Test Shots

No disrespect to OP.

Like a kid asking if we're there yet every 12-15 minutes. Lots of 1:1 info in the early thread. Like having 3 41 Ford threads.

Maybe the mods can merge these topics.  I'll contact them.

UPDATE: Looks like they did merge the new topic into the existing one. Thanks!

Had not seen this and it looks pretty good to me too. I'm genuinely liking the sheer detail from the box they're offering. If I'm really good next year I hope they'll consider an Austin-Healey 3000 MkII as a companion kit.

Real car is a Series 1 Coupe from 1964

Thanks for sharing the side by side.

This is close enough for me, I'll be purchasing the new kit for sure

Hmm. Just for Ss and Gs, let's line 'em up, sized to the wheelbase:

Now overlaid, aligned at door and hood jambs:

Food for thought, allowing for some distortion.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I think a lot of the differences in the rear roofline and lower window contours has to do with the slightly different angles that both photos were taken. even 1-2 degrees will make a difference. Notice how all the upper surfaces of the blue car are higher than the red model. Or I could be off my rocker.  I'm still buying one

Long story short. -  looks really good.  And it’s 24 th scale ...

at least as good as the Heller and probably better ...  whose going to be the first to build one with opening doors and rear hatch ???  Might be time to splurge on that wonder cutter ?

Here's a couple pictures of a test shot I built for a magazine (Airfix Model World, current issue - December 2020) - normally I wouldn't do this on this forum but since Model Cars Magazine is only just getting going again I don't think I'm stealing any of their thunder (I'm really hoping MCM is going to be a big success, the model car building community really needs it).
