Matt Bacon Posted December 24, 2021 Posted December 24, 2021 (edited) Moving house put a big crimp in my building this year. I've got a brilliant new workspace in theory, but getting the house in order has been the #1 priority this Autumn/Winter. Hopefully, electrics outdoors will be done early 2022 so I will have heat, light, and fume extraction up and running so I can get back to the bench. So for 2021 I have only these two to offer: Ford GT40 Mk2, Meng, 1/12 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, SE Finecast, 1/24 With luck, 2022 should be a little more productive! best, M. larman Posted December 24, 2021 Posted December 24, 2021 Very nice work! The weathering on the Ford is excellent!
espo Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 I really like the As Raced style on the GT40. I understand what you're going thru having moved myself this year. I'm still unpacking and have a major triage operation going on my old builds.
Zippi Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 Great looking builds. The Ford GT looks like it just came off the track.
SickBoy Posted December 25, 2021 Posted December 25, 2021 Only 2 he says, 2 MASTERPIECES! Beautiful work Matt. The level of realism on the Ford is amazing.
TooOld Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Great looking builds ! Really like the Silver Ghost and the GT40 is excellent !
happy grumpy Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 That gt 40 looks so right. Both are stunning. Great work.
doorsovdoon Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 oh man, loving the GT40! Outstanding work on both but that 'just raced look' on the Ford is amazing, really nice.
bogger44 Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Only 2 but man are they fantastic! That GT40 is outstanding!
bobthehobbyguy Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Nice. Love the race weathering on the ford gt.
Matt Bacon Posted December 28, 2021 Author Posted December 28, 2021 Thank you all very much indeed for the kind comments. If nothing else, I hope I’ve persuaded a few that white metal kits are a workable alternative if there’s no other way to build the auto you want on the shelf! best, M.
1959scudetto Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Very nice builds, Matt - quality counts, not quantity. I don't have neither the capabilities for a white metal kit, nor do I have the patience needed. The GT40 looks exactly like the GT40 look in my books in after-race condition.
