Seen this at the detail shop today, picture doesn't do the color justice, deep green met. Detail guy said it had about a 1/4 inch of dust on it this morning, first time out of the garage in 4 years!

Bone stock 1969 Chevelle 427 black vinyl over white.  Sounded like it, too. Noticed it just as the light changed directing me onto the freeway and it stayed straight down the city street, thus no photos  I've seen a raft of SS396's over the years but never a 427.

I love this thread, some cool pictures, so I thought I'd contribute, not from "today" but pics I've taken around, starting with this cool one:

I look at that photo and feel the same as when I look at dog rescue sites.  "I could take that one in and give it a better home."

I'm wondering why the front door is on the second floor.

It's not even like steps were demolished or anything!   Maybe it's  "No Soliciting" at it's finest?

I've been on vacation this week.  When I travel, I look in backyards when going through little towns.  I'll slam on the brakes and u-turn to take pictures.  I'll post just these two, unless someone wants to see more.

West of Bryce Canyon, this truck has been sitting there for years.

Glendale, Utah, this is where my 300mm lens came in handy.

On the Ohio Turnpike this afternoon on my way to Detroit saw a very old Airstream trailer w a California plate.  Very shiny with a pointy rear end.

It resembled this one...30s vintage.

This afternoon on US 101 in Marin County north of SF there was this one, marked just this way and this color.  (Well, maybe not this precise one but you get the idea.)  Still in very good shape.

Driving back into the Cleveland area around 2:30 this morning I was on the 480 near the airport, in the center lane going around 70..no traffic...heard and saw a blur coming up fast on the right, got passed by a yellow Lambo Gallardo spyder, top down, going what appeared to be well over 100..

This afternoon on my way to get comfort food (tacos) and visit my Sunday happy place (Home Depot) I was followed for several miles by a bright green Lambo Huracan.  I’m sure he was annoyed by being unable to pass on the winding, hilly 45mph two lane road.

No pictures, but I think I saw a Fiat X-1/9widebody project in primer and on sawhorses in somebody's garage when I was on lunch today:huh:

Next time I go over to RestoPaint, I'll have to ask Miguel if he knows anything about it since it's in a subdivision and almost right between his store and my office!

Saw this at an Italian market outside St Pete's in June. Way over the top. I was told it sits on a Ram chassis. It has a big ole turbo diesel poking out of the hood. Look closely at the instrument gauge closest to the drivers door.
