Joe's advice is good. Also, get a copy of the landlord's insurance policy if you can and contact your State Insurance Department. They should have a Consumer Protection Division and can tell you the coverage that is being offered and whether it duplicates your State Farm policy. They can also tell you if any insurance laws or regulations are being violated. At a minimum, there should be a licensed insurance agent in the transaction somewhere. Depending on your state's laws, the landlord's insurance policy may be on file with the Department of Insurance or perhaps approved for use by them. The landlord should only be interested in making sure you have liability coverage. Landlords typically do not care if you have coverage for your contents or possessions. If the landlord is making you buy liability coverage through his insurance, you may be able to have State Farm remove it from yours.

Great start! The coloring on the decking looks quite realistic and the cannons look very good as well. -

Both look very cool! Great job. -
I agree Mark. On an unrelated note. I am not really sure what Monster is getting out of the title sponsorship. My son and I went to Kansas a couple of weeks ago, and he went to a concession stand and asked for a Monster Energy Drink. The person behind the stand said that she could only sell him one if it was in a mixed drink. I realize that Kansas is an ISC track, and they have Coke as their official soft drink, but I thought it was a little ridiculous that the title sponsor of the sport is not selling its product inside the tracks.

Excellent point Trevor. You brought back to mind something my daughter told me when she was in college. She had to take an environmental awareness class. The professor and a number of the students were espousing battery powered cars as being great for the environment. My daughter says she sat quietly until she could take it no more. She informed the class that, as you point out, that these cars are charged with fossil fuels. She also reminded them that the electrical grid could not handle providing electricity to homes and businesses and then charging a bunch of cars too. She was met by a rather prolonged silence before the professor moved on to another topic. I never said anything to my wife because she is more of a go along to get along type, but I was extremely proud of my "little girl". -
Back in the day, an actress wore a dress made of lettuce on the Tonight Show. Johnny Carson was the host at the time. They had one heck of a time trying to keep that dress cool so it would not wilt due to the hot lighting on the set. I don't understand it either, but they do it because they can.

Hobby Lobby has a very conservative ownership and they do not like that an energy drink sponsored product will potentially be sold to kids. I guess if Revell's new ownership is interested in continuing to produce modern NASCAR kits, Hobby Lobby may carry them in 2020. Monster likely goes away after 2019. NASCAR is suggesting that they will move to some sort of tiered sponsorship approach. They have yet the release the details, but I think it's supposed to be modeled after the NFL where they have a number of companies pay to be sponsors of the league. And then based on the company's level of sponsorship, that dictates the amount of exposure the company receives.

I think the test shot looks great as well. This will be so much better than using a resin body or converting the Revell snap kit. -
Thanks for the kind words everybody. Mark, the car represents the 1998 livery, and as far as I can tell, they ran the two tone numbers for two years. Those being 1997 and 1998. Robbie Gordon was in the car in 97. In at least one other year, the numbers on the doors were one solid color and the number on the roof was a second solid color. So yes, it is curious that for these two years the numbers were two tone.

I have never understood the fixation with batteries. They are expensive to make. Very expensive to dispose and they can be re-charged only so many times before they have to be replaced. They also take a long time to charge. I always thought hydrogen made better sense, since we can use the current service station model and they refuel quickly like a gas powered car. -
My favorite driver from back in the day. The model is built box stock. The paint is from MCW. I do not know the source for the decals. I bought them a number of years ago and they sat until I finally got around to this project. The three color paint scheme had me rather intimidated based on everything that can go wrong, but I am rather pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks for looking.

Looks great! I also like the idea of mating a NASCAR chassis to the model.

Looks fantastic! You did a great job adding all of the detail to what was a modified snap kit. -
Well said, Bill.
