  1. If the new one can really run around like a Tumbler, then it has my vote. We shall see.
  2. Aircraft engines where banned from NHRA Competition in 1963. They ran exhibition until they where deemed to unsafe or where deemed to be taking the thunder away from the fuel cars due to the fact that they ran much faster at certain tracks. Other sanctioning bodies allowed them, AHRA, IHRA and NASCAR, until they too deemed them unsafe for competition, but allowed them for exhibition. Independent tracks allowed them since they where not sanctioned and wanted to put on a show! Have fun!
  3. I painted mine Tamiya Camel Yellow. It has a slight orange tint to it and was the closes match I could find.
  4. that would be a late 50's go job! I think it is from the H.A.M.B. dragster classes Really fun classes!
  5. I know that Revell did the 1/25th bikes under the guise of the movie "Grease 2" and one was a Harley, but I do not remember another Fonz bike.
  6. Hopefully they will start making more figures in 1/24th and 1/25th
  7. Wow! That is one I have never seen! NIce catch
  8. The cool part is that Henry "The Fonz" Winkler autographed it for me at the Roadster Show a few years back! How cool is that!? Aayyyy!
  9. I hated the thought of this thread going away, so, here is another oddity for the books!
  10. Cool! A modern day Chevette!
  11. Very nice job! I have always heard that he decals where horrible, as most Monogram kits of that time had lousy decals, so my friend Skip made some copies of the kit decals with an inkjet printer. But, after seeing what a nice job you did the stripes I am really tempted to try that myself. Again, nice job!
  12. Hey Paul, how hard would it be to convert this body into Skip Hess' Revell Kit Mustang?
  13. Great kit and you did a great job with it! I like it!
  14. One came from a fellow in Australia and the other from Speed City Resin, which is also very nice! http://www.speedcityresin.com/DragsterPage.htm
  15. That resin conversion is out there. I have two of them. Nice job.
  16. Greg, sorry, 69NovaYenko, I am well aware of the story behind the original winged wonders. Those pieces where designed for those cars and not this current brick. Just putting them those pieces on others cars does not mean they will work as they where originally intended. It seems to me that this was done as more of an homage or it looks cool to me attempt. I sure hope they did not really think they where going to actually work properly. The cars has all the other ingredients to go fast and I am sure with the proper aero components, it can go faster And yes, it still looks dumb.
  17. I think the only car of his that was ever properly kitted was his 33 Willys
  18. Might actually hit 200 if they got rid of the wing and stupid looking nose
  19. I have that Chevette! Glad I did not pass on it when I found it!! And the extra goodies in the kits back then where a real treat to find. Wish the model companies still did that.
  20. Any chance the Plymouth might come with some speed parts?
