  1. Coming along nicely!
  2. The Tamiya Skyline kits are great and you are doing a super job on them! Can't wait to see the results!
  3. I was surprised when Revell did the Attebury Jungle Jim car and not this one. This one was an actual Gene Snow team car, where the Attenbury car was just running the Jungle name
  4. Looks like a Magnesium Supercharger, polished aluminum rear wheels and spun aluminum front wheels
  5. Very cool! I really like that scheme and a friend of mine is thinking of painting his real R-31 in that or the Advan scheme.
  6. Thanks for the reminder! I forgot about this post!
  7. Dude, how many Cobra threads did you start?
  8. And don't forget this monster. The wheels and tires where always a sticking point with me, they just lacked the look
  9. Gas burns alot easier than Nitro! But really, what else is there to say? We have established that there was only one Drag Version. Funny car, Dragster or exhibition, there was only one. And luckily it still exist. So now, when will this come back?
  10. And here is the first "Funny" looking car. Yes, I know how they came to be called Funny Cars and it was the wild west of interpretation in the mid 60's. But, like any form of sport, what worked became the norm and next thing you know, they all looked like half used bars of soap.
  11. Just to pour more gas on this wreck of a thread....
  12. My LHS got them and sold out the same day! Now I have to wait for the next batch to show up
  13. Well, they still looked "Funny" "A dedicated funny car class was tried by NHRA at one 1966 national event, and at two in 1968, before Funny Car Eliminator was created in 1969."
  14. True, but, one must remember what was considered a funny car at the time, and not the modern interpretation
  15. The Keeling and Clayton car has 392 Chrysler style valve covers as the real car ran an early Hemi, but, it is the same 426 style engine block as the rest of the kits. They came with either the Hilborn butterfly hat or the Crower 8 port injector and scoop.
  16. Yes, this is the same tooling with new decals and a different nose.
  17. They are all basically this car, with the only variations being body panels, rims and injector hats
  18. Went to HL today and there was no Cougar. Our LHS has them already
  19. I do believe the snow tires are the same as the ones in the Blazer
