You’re doing a great job on this kit. I especially like the fix on the fins and the windshield replacement looks 100 times better.

I think they’ve just added pictures. Click on the link in the first post then scroll to the bottom of the page.

I have the MFH Cobra 1/12 in my stash to build some day. It’s a super impressive kit. If the C1 kit is anything like this it’ll be very tempting, though I see that prices of more recent releases have crept up.
-
Well this is unexpected from MFH... https://www.modelfactoryhiro.com/hpgen/HPB/entries/511.html If money were no object, I'd definately buy one.

This is a great kit, and you’re doing a fine job. Despite your problems, the red finish looks great and looks just like Guards Red to me. I prefer using pink primer for red cars, as I have had the exact same problem in the past. I used to own a 1:1 of these about 15 years ago. They hit rock bottom prices back then. At that time I picked up a few Hasegawa kits, and the Revell kit (which is the same tool as the Hasegawa). The Italeri kit is a different tool. Hasegawa also make a 968 Porsche (which is the later version of the 944), and many parts are interchangeable. I intend on building a 944, with 968 wheels as a replica of my 1:1 car some day. One thing I learned from the 944 community at the time, was that the non-sunroof cars were preferred as track cars. If you are building as a track car, then you have the best kit to begin with, but if you’re building a street version you can ‘pinch’ the rear seat from Hasegawa or Revell kit.

Sounds like you have the same problem as me. Too many projects on the go at once, and I just want to do to work on them all now. Great paint job on all those. My favourite is the blue/white Hornet.

I saw a 1:1 Liberty Walk Aventador at the Goodwood Festival in the summer 2022. That was a truly awesome car to see in the flesh. I had assumed that the Aoshima Huracan kit would be their full detail kit with add on parts, so I’m surprised to see it’s a snap kit. The coloured body shell looks pretty good. I hope you can still use those PE grills despite the plastic thickness. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I love the engineering. It’s like seeing a 1:1 race car come together. -

That looks ace. I need more info on this. What model and what scale is it? I’d love to see a WIP thread on this one. -
Shame you didn’t like the finish. It looks fine in the pictures though.
-
Interesting project. I never knew of this car, let alone the kit! Nice work so far. Those wheels look great.
-
That is polished to perfection! The mock up stance looks perfect.

Ferrari Boxer triple build - The 'Brigette Bardot' cars
beeRS replied to beeRS's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Undecided at the moment, but will probably have at least one in the ubiquitous Rosso Corsa. Yes - the interior will be a challange. Fujimi have given the exact same door panels for all three cars, but the later car - the 512BBi - has a completely different panel.
