  1. Superb work Geoff. If this turns out anything like your other builds it will be a stunner.
  2. I've had to deal with MFH a couple of times. In both cases, I used contacted the dealer I purchased from - Hiroboy and HLJ. I think when they relay your question to MFH, they are more likely to get an answer. Also, I always found it easier (and cheaper) to buy MFH stuff through a dealer. I have never purchased a MFH item without some kind of problem (a part missing or incorrectly supplied), and so it is good to know you can contact the dealer after sales to resolve the issue. In both cases the issues was small and problem was sorted by the dealer. You might not get that service if you buy direct! FANTASTIC kits though - best I've ever seen!
  3. Hello everyone, I'm hoping to pick up on a long stalled project of mine. It was supposed to be a quick build, but I hit a snag and put it back in the box for another day. I originally started work on this one in 2013. Here's the build thread that I began. Shortly after this, I lost all the pictures stored by my host Imageshack ?. First step was to remove the moulded in grilles. This will be replaced by parts from the PE set. I wish someone would make PE door handles like these. I'm hoping to do Fujimi's Lotus Esprit at some point and it has handles like this too. I've made these from plastic sheet. First coat of primer... I'll post some more progress soon.
  4. I love the detailing. When I look at the close up of the engine I can almost hear the roar! Fantastic work.
  5. That looks so great in that blue. I see lots painted bright colours, but this makes a nice change. I built this in orange, but you have done a much better job than me.
  6. I love MFH stuff. Good work so far. What scale is this?
  7. The Beemax kit looks awesome. Thanks for sharing pics. Great work so far. Keep us posted.
  8. Great progress so far. Great idea with using different sheens of black on the interior. Its always good to see modeling techniques from other categories crossing over. I can't be sure, but from the photo I would have to agree that the steering wheel angle doesn't look quite right. Keep us posted of the progress.
  9. David, you done a fine job on what is a tricky resin bodyshell. Its a lot of work to get these to look as good as an injection moulded plastic part. I think you still would have had your work cut out if you opted for the Airtrax one from Finland. I suspect many of us have built models of our first 1:1 cars. I loved reading about your tuned 105E - reminds my 1500 Mk1 Cortina. Is the resin manufacturer of your model the same ones who make a narrow body Escort mk2?
  10. Fantastic work on this. What is the material you are using to sculpt the rear end?
  11. Fantastic work on this. What is the material you are using to sculpt the rear end?
  12. That paint job looks absolutely fantastic. Can't see any problems with the finish of the flocking.
  13. I've never seen one of these done as a street version. This looks superb. I would love a 1:1 one.
  14. This is utterly jaw dropping. I don't know much about 3d printing, but this must be the future of modeling? Is the finish on the engine shown as it comes from the printer, or has it had some clean up? The 3d prints I've seen before all have rough (stepped) surfaces. Any plans for a 1/8 scale one?
  15. Very nice work. Im surprised how low it looks straight out the box. Tamiya Silver really suits too.
  16. Love the subtle westhering. Is this box stock? If so, that Revell kit is really nice.
  17. Very nice indeed, and the quad carbs really set the engine apart. What colour and brand of paint is that gold? The metallic looks to be perfectly in scale.
  18. Thanks for sharing this one Geoff. Its been a while since I saw something that I REALLY want to put on my must-have list.
  19. Good start. I love that you are correcting the roofline. This is what has put me off this, otherwise very nice, kit. Good luck - will be watching.
  20. How nice to see one of these in something other than red! A lovely build of one of my all time favourite cars.
  21. I love the old Fords.
  22. These older Pocher kits are amazing. Well done on an impressive build. A real masterpiece.
  23. That Tamiya kit may only be curbside, but it really does look good. You've done a stunning job. And that paint..... sooo deep. I built the Fujimi Enthusiast kit many years ago, but it never looked as good as your Tamiya. The rear arches on the Tamiya are much more accurate.
  24. That is one beaitiful looking Merc!
  25. Great to see one that's not the usual red. Very nice.
