My latest and unless I get a good deal, probably last for a while. The dirt late model car is from Action and it supposedly is one Tony Stewart drove in 2001, but I can find no pictures with this exact paint scheme. The #20 completes my Tony Stewart display. I'd like an Indy car, but the eBayers think the Racing Champions cars are made of gold. At least I have something representing most of his successes before retirement and a couple as a car owner. The Franklin Mint 1915 Stutz Bearcat was a happy accident. A $20 buy it now on eBay. I always liked these, but they always bid out of my price range. I didn't notice until I got it, but there are two cowl lights missing. After looking at a bunch on eBay this seems to be common, and unless you knew they had them, not missed.

Two arrived between late last night and today! My other anniversary Corvette and a Ford pickup. First up is a Danbury Mint 1942 Ford. The predecessor to the F Series Pickups; the Jailbar Pickups were made from 1942-47 (before and after the war) Known for their Jailbar looking grille, they were more truck like than earlier pickups, they had heavy hood molding and side hood louvers. The green in the photos came out darker than it really is. The photo of the cab is much closer to the correct color. This is the Franklin Mint 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car. I just wanted one of the Ruby Red ones or even a Yellow hardtop for my 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette, because these usually bid way out of my price range. Well, it didn't and here it is. That leaves only one more Corvette to get.

Those have to be the best built AMT C1 Corvettes I've ever seen! Especially the front end on the 59 considering all the parting lines from the mold. Also, The fitment of the chassis on the '53 is better than any I've seen! Excellent!

Another Corvette for the collection. Franklin Mint 1988 Corvette 35th Anniversary edition. Limited on details, but a slight improvement over the 25th Anniversary version. The top comes off and the hatch opens. The headlights don't pop up, but they are under the hood. I have the 2003 50th Anniversary on the way and that just leaves the 1953 model. I have a Monogram model to build, but I'd like to get a Danbury mint. Apparently it's going 55!

I picked this up to go with my Ryan Blaney collection. It's his dad Dave's car from 2003. Ryan Ran a similar tribute paint scheme at Darlington in 2018.

New magazine from Kalmbach

I kind of wish they'd give me this instead of another year of FSM. I had two years to go on a sub when they canceled SA. -
That turned out well!

No models to build this time, just some requested NASCAR diecast and Easy Model 1/72 aircraft.

That's some kind of trailer you have there. I have one of these Crewzers as a kit. I don't remember building it, but I must have. I guess there was never any accessories made for it so it went to storage.

Built mine right after 9/11

The Red Pig! Excellent! -
There used to be great discourse on this car, the #6 Cotton Owens Dodge Charge Daytona, and many other NASCAR race cars from the past on Randy Ayers website. Sadly, it was all lost when his servers failed and there wasn't a backup. The best discussions were from crew members or people who were associated with the cars at the time. Most, are no longer with us, so that expert history is gone. I'm glad Tim Stevens held his ground. I knew it was thin sheet metal covered with paint, but I wasn't going to throw it out there first. I'm not an expert and I couldn't find anything to back me up.

The kicker is a Chemical that instantly hardens the glue and prevents fogging. The clamps I use are like these.

Turned out excellent!

Another Corvette for a future display. Franklin Mint 1978 25th Anniversary. It's surprisingly heavy.

I picked up the Hauler last month. I've been looking for the car to go with it ever since. eBay sellers were asking too much for the NASCAR Authentics. I just happened to run across someone selling these three cars together for $14.95 and they arrived Thursday. I didn't really want the Body Armor cars, but it seemed to be a fair price, plus I get cars I can display and put back in the package. Ever since I first heard about Hailie Deegan I've been sort of following her and hoping she'd be successful. It seems like every time a woman comes to motorsports, the media builds them up and they never meet the expectations. Anyways, when I saw they were releasing her ARCA car in the NASCAR Authentics, I started scouting for it. I'm guessing everyone is too, because this is the first one I've seen and we have seven Wally Worlds, and three Targets within about 30 minutes of where I live and when I've been hunting, zip, zilch, nada until Friday, and there was only one on the three pegs that were crammed full of all of the rest of the 2020 Wave 06. I think this year has the most 1/64 scale diecasts I've collected since the nineties!

(PICS) 1/8 Scale Volga M21 kit from DeAgostini
THarrison351 replied to traditional's topic in Diecast Corner
Well, that's interesting subject matter. Looks cool! -
Don't forget the 1964 Ford Galaxie! Maybe with all updates Round 2 has done to other kits, they can add the missing exhaust dumps and fix the chassis back to the original modified stocker chassis.

Wow! Just Wow!

Action Tony Stewart Craftsman Truck 2002 Chevy Silverado
THarrison351 replied to THarrison351's topic in Diecast Corner
Thanks Randy. When I was putting all my cars back on display, I noticed how many old Action, Racing Champions, and Winners Circle have left the windows unpainted. Now that almost all of them are virtually worthless, I may start disassembling them and detailing them to make them look better. -
Great save on a beautiful car! I finished a Modelhaus resin version earlier this year to replicate my parents when I was born. It was red too, but we never could find a picture of the top (no one can remember 54 years ago when it was sold) to verify if it was red, white accented like yours, or all white. I decided to go all red and if we ever find a picture can add the white.
