  1. I'd suggest not mixing the two also. You are a lot better off buying some Duplicolor primer and using that. You will then know they should be compatible.
  2. From my post above I had a doubly good experience recently. I bought and paid for a second item Thursday night. A few hours later it showed as shipped. Checking Friday it too was in the mail. I got them both yesterday. The second one didn't have as far to travel.
  3. If I get a table I plan to have my user name here on it somewhere.
  4. Thank you Joe. I PMed a 3RA member here and he said he was going to snail mail me a couple copies.
  5. This is the song that changed me. It was the lines: The paper holds their folded faces to the floor and every day the paperboy brings more. This was the first "visual" that I ever got out a song's lyrics. I knew what it was saying, at least to me. I started listening to lyrics and PF has some of the best. My second favorite band is Metallica for the same reason, the lyrics. And they both make great music. And I love their use of female background vocals in their songs.
  6. Pleasant surprise. I won and paid for an item yesterday. Showed as shipped last night. Checked near the end of the day and it's in the hands of the USPS! Now all I gotta do is hope they don't mess it up.
  7. To my eyes, which aren't the greatest, the orange Firebird looks to be based on a C2 Corvette. The front of the car, the grille and hide-away headlights, are what pop out to me.
  8. OOOOH, I gotta try to get to this. I could use a scan of the back of the flyer. I may get a table.
  9. Cool, know where it's at. It's a bit of a ride from where I'm at. I can understand how you got to Maryland from there.
  10. Where 'bouts JC?
  11. Pittsburgh radio station spoof. Hope you like it.
  12. My favorites are: the Wall Wish You Were Here Animals A couple of my Tees. They rarely see the light of day. I have been known to wear them occasionally when I need to dress up T1 front back T2 front back
  13. Here's one I'd be willing to trade. I do not remember when or where I got it. Still has the price tag and size large sticker. I have a trade ad up with my wants. Or...??? DSOM:
  14. They are my favorite band. Great first choice JC. I believe it's the only vocals Nick Mason did plus you get both Roger and David on bass. I was going to post up Have a Cigar but since TJ posted a cover I won't. It is my favorite "In your face, let's stick it to them and bite the hand that feeds us" song. Probably pretty much how the music business ran but they were the only ones to write a song about it. Showed a lot of moxie. My favorite album is the Wall. Favorite song is here (I don't know how to post videos): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soL8JK6kALc I do have some T-Shirts, a few I will try to post tomorrow. They are a bit uncommon I think. I did see them live twice in the Burgh, post Roger.
  15. Slow shipping, after 3 or 4 days, has happened to me on about 6 of the last dozen items I've bought in the past couple months. It is the new trend I guess. When I sold there I would ship the next day, unless is was a Sunday or Holiday of course. Buyers liked it and my feedback shows it.
  16. My half of the trade with Modlbldr came today. Have an offbeat idea for the Stooge SD.
  17. Therein lies the rub. Once the label has been created and posted to the item as far as eBay knows or cares, it shipped. The seller can then wait days if they choose to.
  18. I make offers all the time. Most of what I've been buying recently are priced in the $60 to $100+ range. I'll usually make an offer of $15-20 less than their asking price. I figure they can counter offer. If there are flaws that I see missing/broken/etc I point that out in my offer. The last 4 times I've done this I've gotten them at my offer price. Woot! A lot of sellers on there now buy stuff at estate/garage/yard sales and have no clue what they are or how they work. I also recently purchased two airbrushes from different sellers in Germany who did not offer shipping to the US. I used an online translator, DeepL Translate is my go to, to ask if they would ship to the US. I would type out what I wanted to ask and send them the translated into German text. I included Sprechen Sie Englisch? (do you speak Engish?) and both of them did. That uncomplicated the language barrier. I made reasonable offers on each and bought both of them. Shipping was $20 on each of them. Not bad considering how far they traveled. Got one in 8 days and the other in 10. Better than some US sellers shipping to the US. I also make offers on things that have been listed for a good while even if "or Best Offer" is not in the listing. You can see how long someone has had an item by looking at the "view revisions" if the listing has ever been revised. I've gotten good deals this way too.
  19. It's hard to say how much shill bidding goes on. I can see big buck items like the sports cards being affected but eBay has pretty much made it impossible to see if you are bidding against a shill bidder. You used to be able to see the user name of the person(s) bidding against you. You could also see where they lived etc. You can't do that now.
  20. I've been mostly a auto, truck MC builder but I did buy two aircraft kits not long ago. They are both still sealed. I really like Bruce's (Brudda) bipe pictured above. If one that looks like that is available in 1/48 or larger I'd get one of those too. That's a cool looking plane to me.
  21. Doesn't look real bad. A good buff should do it. Just a suggestion, if you raise the bed and hood inside the tub you could put something under the tub edges to raise it up a bit for airflow. You could leave the painted parts in there so you don't get more debris falling on your paint job.
  22. I found a couple interior shots of this car: And I'll bet someone on the forum is looking through their stash of '63 split windows.
