  1. Killer build Roger! Outstanding work on blending those kits together so beautifully. I have been a big fan of your builds for a long time, but this one might just be my new favorite.
  2. Love 'em all Cliff. That Charger is a beauty, sorry to hear of the real one's fate, but at least you came away with a Mach 1 afterwards. I may have to grab a can of that Light Lemon, I really like that shade.
  3. Thanks guys! I thoroughly enjoyed this build, and really like how the wheels set it off as well. They actually came pre-painted, saved me a little time Lol. I think Aoshima really nailed the color, whatever it is.
  4. Thanks guys! Love your take on it Paul. Very sharp!
  5. Fresh off the bench this weekend. This is my inaugural build of a Tamiya kit, and I have to say it was one of the smoothest builds I've ever done. It literally seemed to build itself with nary a part fitment issue. It won't be my last one for sure. It's rolling on a set of Aoshima's 19 inch Volk Racing TE37 wheels. Painted in Tamiya TS-89 Pearl Blue. Sorry, I should have taken a picture of the interior before I installed it in the body, but I guess there's not a whole lot going on with it being all black anyways lol. While I was taking the pictures, someone in the neighborhood must have been having a campfire as there was some small flecks of ash coming down. I did my best to keep it clean during the shoot, but did miss some on a couple pics.
  6. Nice build Tim! These are fun little kits.
  7. Another well executed build Randy! Just as always with your builds. Real nice work on the instrument cluster. Even though I need another kit like I need another hole in the head, I do want to add this one to my collection.
  8. Thanks, not sure if you wanted to know the year of the car or when it was issued, but they call it a '27 and it was re-issued around 10 years ago. If I found that kit, I'd have to Lol! Thanks a lot. Thanks for the comments everyone!
  9. This was a quick build to fill some time during my other current project. A very simple and basic kit as we all know, but it builds well and was a lot of fun. She's completely box stock with the exception of two items, I added a better looking distributor and sourced a transmission from my parts box since the kit doesn't have one. Paint is Testors Mystic Emerald & Duplicolor Performance White. It's not really a subject I build often, but it was kinda refreshing and will look good on the shelf. Thanks for lookin' and any comments/questions. Oh yeah, I dumped the kit radiator hose for a piece of braided looking elastic thread.
  10. Love it, love it, love it! Just the way I'd want it if I had a 1:1.
  11. That is a beauty, and the color looks like one that could have been available at the time. Setbacks aside, it is still one great looking model to be proud of. I'd love to get a hold of one of these kits someday.
  12. Beautifully done! Thanks for the history behind it too.
  13. Great results Mike! I think you nailed the color as well. Congrats! ?
  14. Thanks guys.
  15. Glad you found a solution for the tail lights, Mike. They came out looking good. And oh yes I agree, do those GT350's sound ever so glorious. Absolute music to the ears.
  16. Good to hear, looking forward to hearing the results with a new tip. My 2mm is starting to silver.
  17. This was a pretty enjoyable build, up until slapping on the decals. They had yellowed with time, so I had put them in a window to let the sun hopefully bleach them out, and in time they did...so I thought. Happy with how they now looked I started applying them and was rewarded with the clear film still having the yellow tinge to them. ☹️ I didn't use any of the window decals as they REALLY looked terrible against the clear glass, so I found that I had a few similar ones in my spare decals box to take the place of some. Several of them really fought me in staying laid down too (the ones for the front wheel wells were the worst and didn't fit their shape at all, and hence the poor looking chrome trim around them), but with some work I got them settled down for the most part with little dabs of some clear glosscote. Will they stay in place(?) only time will tell. All of that aside, for a little more accuracy for this particular car, I swapped out the 4spd for a torqueflite (Competition Resins piece) and some Cragars. These Coronets are kinda taildraggers out of the box, so I raised the rear suspension some for a better stance as well. Paint is Duplicolor Polar/Arctic White polished to a decent shine.
  18. Sweet rebuild, you gotta love those old pro stocks.
  19. Keep up the good work Mike. I too, have used Scratch X 2.0 for years. I still have a decent amount left but thanks for the heads up.
  20. Roger, the surgery you performed to correct the droopy rear makes for a big improvement, I'm currently working on one of these and the rear end on these is a disappointment but am building it as-is. I have always liked your building style, and this one is no exception. Nice work and glad you brought it back to the bench and were able to finish it.
  21. Fabulous paint, it's off the chart and easily one of the best I've seen. I love your take on this kit, very clean and well executed. Congratulations!
  22. She's a beauty, Tim. Very nice work. Thanks for the heads up on the decals, I'll keep that in mind when I get to mine.
  23. You knocked it out of the park, Marcos! That paint looks fabulous and is so right for this car. Count me in as well for wanting a factory stock kit too.
  24. I remember this one and still love it! I still need to get a GSX finished in white one of these days. It would be awesome to see your takes on those other kits you mentioned...maybe someday? ??
  25. I love it! You really nailed that look, well done!
