Looks like it is ready for business. -
I was wondering what you were going to put the trailer behind. This looks to be a great subject!

K.I.T.T. !! Awesome!

Well, I had to break in the bench. ? Months ago in a trade from DrKerry I received a custom 4x4 that needed some reassembly. So I set up a desk lamp and grabbed the glue and some tweezers. Better lighting is a must for any serious modeling.

Great trade with khils! Thanks again Kevin

Well, I had hoped that I would have been back to this thread a whole lot sooner but hey, better late than never. I actually started building early this year out of this collection, and now I have it moved into the new hobby room. Everything you see on the large shelving system is nothing but big rig (except the clearly marked 1/8 on top) Bottom shelf is mainly unbuilt, second shelf is partial built, and all the cardboard boxes are parts, parts, and more parts. Here is my dilemma...still, I need some help identifying a lot of the small parts and making sure my partial kits are complete, and that I have things lined out for future projects. So here is my proposition... Anyone who is well acquainted with all the big rig stuff, (mine is mainly AMT/ERTL).....that wants to spend a day with me going through this pile of stuff, I will make sure that some of it goes home with you. If you want to bring your better half and make a weekend of it, I will point you towards inexpensive lodging and make sure you get two tickets to the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Getting things moved in from the garage. I still need to figure out where and how to set up my tools, equipment, and supplies.

Those colors really pop. What color are you going to use for the chassis? -
Sounds like we would get along just fine. I too have owned a number of VWs over the years, both air cooled and water cooled. The Bavaria is on the back burner due to money/time constraints (if you have one, you don't have the other), and that my son is getting married Feb 1st so his interests are focused elsewhere at the moment. lol

Love the old BMW die casts. My son and I have a 1973 Bavaria for a project.

Saving an old custom 59 chevy

Glad your sticking with it. Gives me ideas as well. -
No kidding. The builder must have thought if a little is good a lot is better.

Ok, shelves are set up, monitor will be mounted on the wall at some point. I have one set of shelves and an old secretary in the closet. I think if I get a 24x24 set of shelves to put next to the bench I will be set.

Gerry, I saw you at the show earlier in the month but did not get to meet you. Let me know if you are planning a trip to Newport.

I gather you also use the dividers?

If I remember correctly, the small block chevy in the old 55-7 Revell kits is pretty small. Maybe you could start with one of those?

This truck is insane. Now, question is, who wants to build a model of it... https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/thor24-raises-the-bar-for-murica/ar-BBWXb3s

Followed this in the wip, excellent job. It's a beauty.

When I was in high school our family had a white 69 two door ht,with navy blue vinyl top and matching bench seat interior. 300hp 350/powerglide, ps,pb,ac. Loved driving that car. We also had a navy blue on blue 69 Kingswood wagon. Again, beautiful car. Yes, the 69 is much nicer looking than a 70.
