  1. Thanks for bringing this up Bruce. I also have one of these kits and was wondering the same thing. I built it as a kid and pretty much ruined it, but now I have a second chance.
  2. Those are all real good ideas.
  3. I might have to come up and help you sort it all out. ?
  4. Funny the things you find when you unpack after a move...even five years after the move. Now that I am setting up my new hobby room I am unpacking and organizing boxes of things that I bought and then stuck away. The old long bed Chevy pu I bought to duplicate my Dads old 62. The 62 Sunliner I picked up to reproduce my father in laws 1:1. The 62 Hardtop because I liked the looks, and the little 60 Falcon because I like Falcons. Good think I just bought a new gallon of the purple stuff. Yea, that 60 Falcon came in a 61 Comet box with a 61 or 62 instruction sheet.?
  5. I have that trailer in my stash and will be happy if it turns out half as nice.
  6. Good thing my phone is waterproof because I have been drooling over this since you first posted it.
  7. My favorite era of GM trucks. I would also like to see more pics if you can please.
  8. Yea, I knew that distance would hinder some who would want to help. I am glad though that it is an R behind the O, we have the ocean. ? Bill, I grew up in Salem. I would also appreciate your help, if you can spare a day PM me.
  9. "The Fall Guy" pickup from MPC had Lee Majors on the box art.
  10. Looks like it is ready for business.
  11. I was wondering what you were going to put the trailer behind. This looks to be a great subject!
  12. K.I.T.T. !! Awesome!
  13. Well, I had to break in the bench. ? Months ago in a trade from DrKerry I received a custom 4x4 that needed some reassembly. So I set up a desk lamp and grabbed the glue and some tweezers. Better lighting is a must for any serious modeling.
  14. Great trade with khils! Thanks again Kevin
  15. Well, I had hoped that I would have been back to this thread a whole lot sooner but hey, better late than never. I actually started building early this year out of this collection, and now I have it moved into the new hobby room. Everything you see on the large shelving system is nothing but big rig (except the clearly marked 1/8 on top) Bottom shelf is mainly unbuilt, second shelf is partial built, and all the cardboard boxes are parts, parts, and more parts. Here is my dilemma...still, I need some help identifying a lot of the small parts and making sure my partial kits are complete, and that I have things lined out for future projects. So here is my proposition... Anyone who is well acquainted with all the big rig stuff, (mine is mainly AMT/ERTL).....that wants to spend a day with me going through this pile of stuff, I will make sure that some of it goes home with you. If you want to bring your better half and make a weekend of it, I will point you towards inexpensive lodging and make sure you get two tickets to the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
  16. Getting things moved in from the garage. I still need to figure out where and how to set up my tools, equipment, and supplies.
  17. I will be following along for sure. This will be a special build.?
  18. Those colors really pop. What color are you going to use for the chassis?
  19. Sounds like we would get along just fine. I too have owned a number of VWs over the years, both air cooled and water cooled. The Bavaria is on the back burner due to money/time constraints (if you have one, you don't have the other), and that my son is getting married Feb 1st so his interests are focused elsewhere at the moment. lol
  20. Love the old BMW die casts. My son and I have a 1973 Bavaria for a project.
