  1. John Deere bought the Lanz company situated in Mannheim (Germany) in the '50s and manufactured from the early '60s onwards their New Generation tractors for the European market there, in the beginning under the name "John Deere-Lanz" (as was the name of the Matchbox Lesney tractor model back then), later the name LANZ disappeared completely.
  2. Absolutely! Steve, you keep on amazing us with wonderful models - always a treat for the eyes!!!
  3. Very impressive mopars, Roger !
  4. I thought exactly the same:excellent detailing and the load - simply unbelievable!
  5. Great models, guys, from all of you!!! I haven't built anything this year - was looking for a new job for 6 months and renovated our house. I wish you all a very Happy New Year 2017 and hope that I will finde time to build something, too.
  6. Hey, JT - if this is what you call a slow output, you should have left a lot of orange paint for 2017, isn't it?
  7. Very nice truck, Michael, just the right amount of weathering! Really a great looking conversion.
  8. Very nice builds: I especially like the '70 Shelby Mustang and Donnie Allison's Purolator Mercury !
  9. Amazing, Chuck ! I really thought that this is the real one !
  10. Fantastic as always, Steve - gorgeous models with perfect paint/foil and nice photos. Ma favourite is the '65/'66 (?) Chrysler (JoHan?)
  11. Superb model, Jürgen - it looks like a clone of the real thing. You have to look very closely to spot some slight differences, that are hardly noticable (sun visor, front bumper and the light bar behind the cab sitting a bit lower on the model) - but these are peanuts! I wish I could replicate an original truck as good as you did it - congratulations!!!
  12. Very beautiful model, Jürgen, of a great car (I'm glad that I bought 3 of them back in the day which I intend to build in the not-so-far future...) Your builds are always perfect!
  13. Excellent model, Bill, in a very nice color. Being a '59er too, I would love to have this one in my collection....
  14. GREAT looking truck-trailer combination - very 70's !
  15. Excellent model, Casey! This little-window 359 Pete is my all-time favourite truck kit!
  16. Awesome model - I really like these old workhorses, especially the Cabovers !!!
  17. Which decals does it come with? Obviously NOT with the Allied and CF ones?
  18. the Heller kit is available now - I found several on ebay Germany.
  19. awesome - the very first Japanese muscle car - very nice model !
  20. of course this is the European version, as this series is being issued in France!
  21. Exactly my thoughts... By far the best '55 Nomad I've ever seen! Amazing!
  22. This old tanker looks great hooked to the Diamond Reo, Pavel - expecially the first pic could be taken for real! Excellent - I like it very much !
  23. Finally, a DS 23 from 1973 is available in 1/24, if only as a die-cast but with very nice proportions - see link enclosed: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/citroen-DS-1-24-hachette-/152257149575?hash=item23733bba87:g:ghkAAOSwHoFXuIsX I have myself 2 on order from France which should arrive early next week. This is the first of a series of cars which have been popular in France by Ixo/hachette in 1/24 - some of them look to have never before seen in this scale. Their main disadvantage could as well be their main advantage: they don't have any opening features, so the awful gaps between hood, doors and other body panels can be avoided. This could fit well together with Ebbro's late `50s DS19 kit, Metro/Leo Models '63 DS Die-cast and Welly's DS convertible Die-cast.
  24. It has nothing in common with the Tamiya version. IIRC it's proportions are rather distorted - it doesn't have a stock look (it is too wide and too low, could probably built as a custom: already chopped/channeled/sectioned) it has been planned as a motorized toy car, only about 40 parts, curbside etc. etc. Here you can see a presentation of the kit contents: http://www.wettringer-modellbauforum.de/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=55736
  25. Looks good - it only would need some P.I.E. decals !
