AMT 1/25 2020/21/22 Dodge Charger R/T
Luc Janssens replied to Jordan White's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
It's simple really, while the Coronet was available in several body styles, the Charger just as a two-door, yet besides us, no one under 30 ever heard about a Coronet, but a Charger?! it's a Hollywood sweetheart and this world wide, so no wonder Chrysler chose it -
I you don't want to bother with import from the US and the woes and cost that go with it, I suggest checking the following European websites www.toyman.nl a Dutch vendor who deals in new and obsolete kits U.S.Car Models - Ihr Fachhandel für Automodellbau und Luftschiff-Souvenirs (uscarmodels.eu) a German vendor who deals in new and obsolete kits. Cheers Luc

This kit is based on the existing Revell convertible kit, it will feature an all new hardtop body, and other parts which differ from the '72 ragtop.

So the 4x4 front axle is a extra piece?! Hmm....

The " snowflakes" are also nice, did they end up in the '90s reworked second gen 70 Camaro?

Well the first pics released by mistake IIRC, showed the subject matter being scanned. -
I heard that in some case it's cheaper to airlift merchandise, than use a container.

Also they save on shipping by using their own distribution network.

Remember space 1999 vaguely from my childhood, I was a Star Trek the original series and the next gen fan, Councillor Troy could've have had me LOL But for me it never translated into building models of SF or fantasy subject matter, but kudos to those who do. Cheers Luc -
What would YOU like to see as a model

Since you're asking Steve, I wouldn't mind a '74 Dodge Monaco, Bluesmobile/CHP/ Mount Prospect police car While I'm sure a lot of people welcome the BB, it's not my cup of tea, but wouldn't life be boring if we all would like the same,?! Cheers and keep up the good work Luc -

A '74 Dodge Monaco CHP/Mount Prospect Police car -
The container issue is the big factor, there's a shortage, prices to have one, skyrocketed overnight, so I'm guessing it's kind of a bidding war to have one fast. Dunno how the shortage came about, but remember a few years ago someone telling me that it was cheaper to scrap a container when it did it's job entering good into the US/Europe/.... then to send it back empty to China.

Yellow Fever Competition Coupe, Keeler's Kustoms
Luc Janssens replied to stavanzer's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thank you for posting these pics, Jim! One can really make the parts pop using metalliser paint and also not having to scrape off the plating is a plus too Again thanks, and puts this kit on my shopping list. -
Been reading the comments and think one has to give this company some slack, they were a small time operation or at least gave that impression to me, which more or less, were given a ton of obsolete (to the new owners of what was once Revell-Monogram) tooling and started putting what was production ready or almost, into..... well, production. On some they had to re-create parts, so a tool which only had scrap value, could again eject commercial product and make them money. All of this costs truckloads of money, and frankly I'm amazed they're pulling it off, and have plans to do even more. So kudos to them, and looking forward to what they will do next.....
