  1. About the speculation of a 1/25th scale '69 Super Bee, I seriously doubt it. if so they would releases a '68 first, then a '69 or '70 R/T. So misprint and a rushed PR (vinyl top?) photo by maybe the German office.
  2. I remember seeing that buck while visiting the Morton Grove plant, but that's two downsizes and one bankruptcy ago.
  3. I once read that these were ex-Lindberg designs that were picked up by Ertl when Lindberg under new shady ownership, sent their R&D team off to unemployment. Anyone who can confirm or deny here?
  4. I agree, it's that kind of reasoning that killed Detroit. Those who don't innovate and invest get passed by, by those who do, and for those of us here who complain about the complexity of certain new model kits, well clever engineering goes a long way, Kaizen! Oh well....
  5. not my cup of tea, but the kit has merit.
  6. If it's changes to the tooling, then very unlikely, if it's a matter of swapping inserts, possible if there's enough demand.
  7. Makes me think of the "used cars" kit
  8. Then you promoted from lurker to participant Anyway hope to see more of you here, providing insights on the why's, the do's and don'ts.
  9. For those who don't know Ronrr is Ron Rowlet who 'till the Hobbico implosion designed model kits, including this one for Revell-Monogram. Welcome Ron, and hope to see more of you here, explaining how a scale model is created and what the hurdles are that have to be taken. Luc
  10. But that was before Hobbico imploded.
  11. Yeah but he's like a speciality dealer/wholesaler, I'm talking about the big box stores the outlet for the weekend modeler and giftshoppers
  12. Odd...I thought these were often tooled up, and marketed for the holiday season to put something big under the Christmas tree
  13. Like I said, in a perfect world.... But for modelers like we are, no biggie, test fit, mark, cut....and voila
  14. In a perfect world they indeed should've retooled the backseat parcel shelf. dunno if it's the case with this OEM, but remember from my day's at Opel, that the seating cushion from the backseat is longer on a 2dr than on a 4dr.
  15. I'd love to have the Monogram 1/8th scale kit, but not at any cost....
  16. Round-2 just posted this photo on their Facebook page, looking good!
  17. Monogram was the brand of choice in my childhood, hope too that under the new management Revell continuous to use it .
  18. Round-2 has the perfect starting point; their 71 Charger.
  19. IIRC the movie car is a '72, so it will be a lookalike at best.
  20. Still contemplating if I'm gonna buy or not.
  21. Great weathering!
  22. Bottom line it got Round-2 some extra cash, which can finance new endeavors, didn't I in the past wrote that tooling which is not used or usable is dead capital, thus waste and questioning the leadership of Round-2 for it? Remember I was even criticized for making that remark, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating!
  23. With every move stuff which was deemed obsolete was unloaded, from tools to tooling models, to paper-trail, decals...you name it, or it was sold off, went to the scrapyard or ended-up in the dumpster. A couple of months ago, Casey showed something he bought from an Ebay seller, the latter got it by what is know as dumpster diving.
